He is amazing. This is by far the best talk on screenplays I have seen so far on KZfaq, out of the many videos I have seen. Most of the other videos are made by people who have never written a popular movie.

He is honest, something you expect from a writer. His first scene, the opening scene,is too important,it is an event, in which the character has to make a decision, turning right or left? Turning right maybe a wrong decision but that, 's where the story moves on . Structure is something one must not bother about, write to tell your story and, maybe,go back and twiddle it here and there. Good advice. Exposition . He keeps the character in the dark and so exposition is made easier when he is good about it. Back story determines behaviour and decision making and as the story moves on,those details come in . He learnt to let go,not argue,,if they want changes, try. I like this interview. He did not say how got them to read his first script, that is the toughest part.

Steven knight you always liked knights haven’t you even in Minecraft and warhammer but what king of guy tries to make a circus out of reality that the ones you love and are living in have to suffer in? Not a rhetorical question Steven knight. Regardless I wouldn’t remember all of this truth if Jesus Christ didn’t give me the guidance to have this truth. In Jesus Christs name we pray amen.

Honestly, not as good as Emma Thompson. This is more of a negative communication
