People need to understand that loyalty is priceless and the loyalty LZ has for John Bonham is as much of a legend has the band itself. It's not LZ without John .. I can see why they feel like that and truly respect them even more for it.

Afonso, I strongly feel that even though there is definitely only one John, Jason is the perfect candidate, and not at all just because he's related. See Jason @ Kennedy Center Honors. He is not only wizardly on his drums, but one can tell how humble he is. Writing here, because I vastly appreciated your comment on loyalty. LZ set a good example for others. Cheers.

Aerosmith used to "practice"(show-off) outside behind the former Marlborough High School by the bleachers (now the middle School). My aunt went down once with some friends and my grandmother walked down the street to drag her back home because she wasn't allowed to spend time with those type of boys. They used to rehearse anywhere they could before their first album.

No disrespect to Jason Bonham, a great drummer in his own right, but Robert Plant made it very clear that there really is not a Led Zeppelin without its original drummer and his mate John Bonham. Having been one of the greatest bands of all time, the music will live on forever but he’s moved on from performing Led Zeppelin music.

He and John were friends before LZ. People don't seem to realize that is was Bonzo who got him through his darkest days after his son died. Page wasn't there and JPJ wasnt there (not even the funeral), and that's ok..because what he needed was his best friend. JOHN BONHAM.. When john died. Led zeppelin died. We have to respect plant for not beating the same horse over and over and hit the road singing songs he was singing 50 years ago and without his best friend up there with him. Its heartbreaking.

Plant has actually tapped into lots of Zeppelin since the '80 breakup: the Zep reunions, sang on Page's solo album, toured with Page for most of the 90's, made an album with Page, still does Zep songs in his concerts. Not sure why people keep saying he has abandoned Zeppelin.

I think Robert Plant has a lot of mixed feelings playing as Led Zeppelin. He's always maintained that he doesn't want to do the comeback/ reunion tour and rehash all the old hits. He's continued to be experimental and forward thinking with his music. I don't think Robert and Jimmy agree on the creative direction. It seems like Jimmy Page is still entrenched in Zeppelin music and would love to do a greatest hits type of tour. Robert also very much misses his good friend John Bonham and I think reuniting with the Zeppelin brings up a lot of sad feelings for him. In the end it might be for the best.

i think that's exactly what it is, he was so close to Bonham that he's never gotten over his death and he's even said while the reunion was a blast it just wasn't the same thing. though he did admit that his John's Son is also a damn good player

roger_985 I remember reading Cream magazine in 1977. Robert indirectly blamed Page's involvement with the occult for Karac's mysterious death. Maybe there's something to the rumor that 3 of the 4 sold their souls? Jones did not. Jones wasn't invited with Plant n Page in '95 tours. Robert recorded a song several years ago called "Someday Satan your kingdom will come down." So it makes you wonder, and me makes me wonder......🤔☺

I had tickets for Zeppelin at the Superdome in 77,, Plants son died 3 days before the show,, I did see Page and Plant in 95,, not very good, saw them again in 98,, that was AWESOME,, sounded just like Zeppelin,, Hey Tyler,, lay off my PRES,, you pissed a lot of people off, I met you at Atlanta show when ya toured with Ted,, I ate Margarita shrimp at some café in Atlanta,, made me sick as a dog,, threw up on my damn shirt backstage,, you went and got me another shirt to wear,, Thanks a lot Steven, was Awesome to meet you, also seen you at Biloxi MISS on that tour,, Teds kids, Toby and Sasha had badass water guns as did Teds crew and Aerosmiths crew,, remember the asshole shooting Ted the finger in front of the stage?? Aerosmith and Teds crews got the waterguns and pissed in them,, when Ted went off, they ran to the stage and sprayed that asshole with piss, that was GREAT,, Ted also put you on his shoulders while you guys jammed,, Fun time that night,, 70's ROCK,, the best ever

They keep the music and memories pristine by not going out as a bunch of old codgers on a money grab reunion tour. I respect that. I know there were gigs here and there, but please don’t do anymore.

Led Zeppelin will never come back together. Since the death of John Bonham has the band not been the same for Robbert and Jimmy

I can do without LZ now, Page wasn't what he once was on the 07 show. Plant is even older now, better remember them as they were

I think the fact that he didn't have the full use of his pinky finger for the 02arena show had an effect on the way he played. He'd broken it a couple weeks before the show. I know I couldn't play Zeppelin songs at all without all my fretting fingers. I'm sure it caused the setlist to change

I think Robert feels very sensitive about the band the way it was. He expressed in an interview they were musician soulmates. It's his choice and we still have their music to listen to. No band like them, never will be. Steven thinks hes in their league and hes not. And Howard thinks hes a rock star and hes not.

Led Zeppelin without Bonzo would be like the Beatles without John Lennon and George Harrison.
