You cut it out but Blue saying “Does that call itself a Garnet?” is actually pretty interesting. Rebecca confirmed the existence of “one gem fusions”. Garnet didn’t have a name for herself until after she met “Rose” which implies a fusion of different gem types doesn’t have a name. The “natural” Garnet’s appear in the games and are not fusions which I find fascinating.

Wanna point out the Blue Diamond said “That thing calls itself a Garnet? Like a Hessonite, a Pyrope, a Demantoid?” You had asked a long time ago when Garnet’s backstory was revealed “I wonder how she got her name”. Blue Diamond’s comment means Garnets are a TYPE of gem, our Garnet just bears a striking resemblance to those Garnet type gems and serves a similar purpose (They’re military generals and ours is the leader of the Crystal Gems)
