All her openings are incredible. All her concerts really. This is what people don’t get, you need to experience Madonna. She’s not just a singer or musician. She’s that but she is an entertainer, performer and artist. Everything has a meaning. From her videos, to the releases, to the albums, to the live concerts. They all connect in this thread of experimentation, evolution, and pioneering female empowerment.

Great reaction Steven! Please more Madonna - her live performances are especially great. She's the queen of blasphemy and many of her performances juxtapose religious imagery with sexual themes that drive conservatives nuts lol. Someone else mentioned the live performance of Holy Water from Rebel Heart tour, which is even more extreme. All her tours have great moments like this, and she is the 👑 after all.

As others have stated, Madonna is a living legend, and the more you get to understand her career and the controversies she endured, many times to stand for equal rights when she was willing to risk her career. "Like a Prayer" is a song that tackled many issues ahead of it's time. In the music video/song, she brought attention to interracial relationships, equal rights and equal justice, racism, expressing her love for God but using sexuality not just to be provocative, but to show women now do as men do.

When it comes to live performances Madonna always ahead and above every standard she’s a leader in making of everything that’s never been before. MDNA concert was and still is the second top grosser concert by any female act only next to her own Sticky & Sweet tour which became the highest grosser of all time by a female artist and 4th over all concert artists. The set design , sound engineer, choreography, production value and Madonna’s performance were all impeccable that sets a new high level of quality and success standards. Throughout the passing of time with many artists coming and going, none of them proves to be even slightly closer to her artistry. Her music and live performances were all an experience and a chance for a lifetime rendezvous of celebration, she’s nothing short of giving the best time of our lives… After all she’s MADONNA the greatest of them all and Best selling female artist of all time!!! ❤️🇵🇭

Madonna is a living legend. Best selling female artist of all time. She was like 52 years old for this tour. Madonna has used religious imagery since day ONE. She is a religious / spiritual person, born catholic but she has always questioned its values. She also has found the catholic imagery to be a source of artistic inspiration and often blends spirituality with eroticism. Blasphemy has been used throughout Madonna’s career well before this performance. She has actually been excommunicated by the Pope on several occasions. Examples” Like a Prayer Video (1989), Holy Water Live performance (2015). I STRONGLY urge you to dive into her career of music videos and Live Performances….starting with her self-titled debut album. She has ALWAYS pushed boundaries and broke the rules of the status quo. Female empowerment, female sexuality, equal rights, self love, LGTBQ rights….always pushed buttons. I hope to see more from you!

Arguably, her best opening number. But let's get one thing straight: she's the best performer of all the times. No one can touch her level of creativity and effort when it comes to live shows. She's always reinventing herself until now, 2023. So, yes, this whole performance is more legendary and iconic than most of todays artists careers.

This is why every one of Madonna's world tours broke records and outsold everyone else touring those years. She is by far the most diverse artist in pop music history. Every album/show is completely different than the last but not as a gimmick, as real artistic expressions of how she had grown/changed and what she experienced. Her shows are like theater, not just in the scope of the visuals, but she arranges the songs and sections of the show to tell a story. She's never gonna just stand there with a mic and sing her hits. She's as much a visual artist as a music artist. She's already over 50 in this clip and her energy is still incredible compared to artists half her age. She started when I was 4 years old and I'm 43 now. Still love this woman.

Express Yourself-Blond Ambition Tour, Future Lovers/I Feel Love-Confessions Tour, Vogue-Sticky & Sweet Tour, Music-Drowned World Tour, Holy Water-Rebel Heart Tour & Into The Groove-The Virgin Tour. You would love a deep dive into her work especially from her third album on where because of her commercial success she gained complete creative control .she is every bit the visual artist as a musical one..the ideas, the imagery, symbolism, the set design ,the choreography and most of her music catalogue all come from her creative genius ..she never gets the credit her artistry deserves but she still continues to provoke to push buttons and produce right up until today ..40 years

I've been hoping to see this reaction from you for a long time! It was insane watching this live! People don't realize that Madonna is legit. By her count, she's been excommunicated 3 times and was "banned" from Rome by the Pope. Others have had great suggestions for more reactions and here's my 2 cents for a few I think you'll probably like. 'Gang Bang' from this MDNA tour (it was rumored that Tarantino was gonna direct the music video, which sadly never happened), 'Future Lovers/I Feel Love' opening of Confessions Tour, 'Holy Water'; Rebel Heart Tour, 'Sky Fits Heaven' Drowned World Tour, and 'Justify My Love' from The Girlie Show Tour. You always come with great honest and exciting reactions while still expressing your views in a way that is really likeable and respectful. Can't wait to see more man.

Madonna created the modern pop concert spectacle back in 1990. she never walks on stage she appears. shes a classically trained professional dancer so shes all theatre. shes a performance artist. shes the blueprint, the original, shes always finding new ways to out do herself. this was 2012 so she was 54 and 30 years into her career. Shes always played with Catholic icongraphy. Madonna is named after her mother Madonna and both are named after The Blessed Virgin Mary or The Madonna. because her family was so devout she understands the meaning behind all the symbols and icons she uses.

Great reaction! So fun to see you do Madonna and I hope to see much more! Madonna is a true living legend and an icon. She grew up Catholic, studied dance (in the video she's 54 years) and it's always been a big part of her music and performances. Her mom dying when M was just 5 years old has had a big impact. She's a Rebel and she's funny and has both the really funky dance numbers, the soulful ballads and the cheeky songs that will make you smile.

It does have some significance on her career, and her life, since you mentioned that. Raised Catholic, Madonna has always used Christian imagery and symbolism in nearly EVERY video and tour she’s done. Ok, maybe not ALL of them of course. But even if it’s just wearing a rosary around her neck, or some sort of crucifix necklace, she’s usually showing it somehow. Even though she’s not actively a practicing Catholic anymore, her childhood clearly was shaped by it. And her mother died when she was only five years old, and I’m sure that has some bearing on all of this, as well. Like idolizing Mother Mary since she didn’t have a mother most of her life... Only a few of her tours don’t include some sort of outright religious theming, like 2001’s Drowned World Tour, which was a little more ethereal & futuristic, more about the music and the storylines in the show, including punk rock, Geisha, western, Spanish, etc. Cool special effects in that tour, too. Her flying ninja battle on ‘Sky Fits Heaven’ is so good. But on other tours, she’s done things with Christian imagery, especially w the songs ‘Like a Prayer’ and ‘Oh Father’ performed as monks in robes (1990), or ‘Live to Tell’ performed on a glass cross, to call attention to world hunger and children starving. The cross was covered in mirrors for people to see themselves for once, and all she got was hate for that performance. But some people understood it… not to compare the two, but Lady Gaga utilizes many similar references to Christianity and Catholicism in her videos. Just look at ‘Judas’. That takes it to the extreme, especially if you know what to look for in the subtle details. So many people just say “this beat is dope” or “this is intense” without even recognizing the metaphors throughout. Gaga was raised in a Catholic Italian family, like Madonna, as well. So it’s something they both experiment with showing.

Boy... If you love blasphemy, watch the live madonna performance of "holy water"... Lmao. It really ruffled feathers but I LOVED it. You gotta Hand it to madonna. She always pokes at religion for being so oppressive towards female sexuality and expression and so anti-lgbt. People try to knock her and say she does these performances for attention but she's always done this stuff, even in the 80s when NO ONE of her stature raised their voice against religion and the treatment of LGBT (way back before it was cool!)

She's always been 10years ahead of others everything she's done has always been extremely innovative and modern provocative against all prejudices also able to reinvent herself decade after decade each time pushing boundaries. What we see from the most famous younger popstars nowadays Madonna did it before and it came out of her own vision. She's the genius behind her whole career there are many younger successful popstars clever and nice to watch or pleasant to listen to but none has her level of thoroughness, not even Lady Gaga, the only one imho who's in her footsteps. There isn't another Madonna yet.

THIS TOUR COSTED she her marriage. At least that was one of the reasons his husband gave. The whole tour and albums is about her divorce, the trip from hell to heaven. The imaginary of a cathedral and gargolas at the opening is about her statement: Maybe I misbehaved but I wanted so badly to be good. The performance continues with violence and revenge to her failed marriage as she ended up accepting that she took a decision. She is better as an icon than a regular housewife.
