Learn how to do a DIY superhero landing effect in Adobe After Effects in our latest tutorial! With everyone stuck at home due to the coronavirus, here's a trick video effect you can try in your garden or just outside your front door - landing like a superhero! This is often seen in films such as Hancock and Marvel's Avengers films with characters such as Iron Man and Thor where a superhero falls from the sky and lands causing some damage and cracking the ground in an epic 'hero' pose!
Made using both practical and digital elements (from Footage Crate and Video Copilot's action essentials), and some creative compositing in Adobe After Effects. See the finished effect here: • SUPERHERO LANDING EFFE...

I want to limit myself to a single word that best describes my reaction after watching your video. Okay, I've got one... subscribed. Dude, this was so well done. Clean, easy to follow and fat free. You showed us the effect, cut to the "How To " segment and packed in some tips & tricks to help us get the most out of the effect. All this without any useless filler. A full meal, not just nachos. Count me subscribed. Thanks:)

It's the only video on my new channel (this one) and would love your feedback! Not sure if I can link videos in comments. Your channel has given me inspiration to start VFX, so thanks mate!
