Jim Brochu is such a brilliant interpreter of Zero Mostel, and his beautifully researched ZERO HOUR such a perfect memorial to the man (I always wanted to make a "four-hander" out of his and Jack Guilford's wives "170 Years In Show Business" - but better Jim being ZERO HOUR back to New York another half dozen times and preserve it for cable). This evening's "talk-back" with the great producer/director Hal Prince is the *perfect* coda to the evening. Thank you, Steve, for posting it.

It’s a real shame that Zero Mostel would come to hate The Producers… and the eternal association that his performance has with it. Not to mention… Mel Brooks didn’t mention Zero’s name at the Oscar Awards in 1969, nor thank him, but he repeated Gene Wilder’s name and thanked him 5-6 times. I wouldn’t like the movie that I would have played in either if all that happened.
