Steve You are awesome. We opened for you many times near Waco in the 80’s. Fetched your basketball off the venue roof. Been fortunate to cover many of your tunes and I had to cover Terry’s high harmony on Tips, Small Town, Lonely Wmn, Weekend and more. Thanks for the great music your an unsung music hero in our book!

The one and only time I saw you was in 1985? in Kansas City at the Pro rodeo. I was looking at the draw to see what number I drew to run barrels. You was standing right next to me but I didn't have a clue who you was, talk about a "small town girl", I was the definition of it! Lol. Of course a pickup pulled up in the alley, you climbed in the back to go sing, then I knew who you was and I felt silly dumb for not knowing you and getting your autograph. I was only 19 years old. I did win money in the barrel race, and ended up winning 2nd. To be young again and know what I know now... You'll always be one of my top 5 favorites 👍

Wow I was surprised to hear we'll never know. I was just talking about that song a few days ago while seeing Sylvia in concert. I said I believe she sang background on that song.

Bo Diddley lived down the street from my wife when she was a young child in the 1970's in Bosque Farms, NM and he liked to do pottery and gave her 2 small pieces that he autographed in the clay. Thanks for Wariner Wednesday's!
