Don't know how to edit a previous comment so I'll just submit this one... Oops, it was actually 1990 when I met Stevie at Red Rocks and asked her to "please never stop singing". That day was 24 years ago TODAY on June 13, 1990. Her reply to me was "I'll always be here". Out of the blue I said "we want to see you when you're 70". That's when she leaned over, kissed my cheek, and said "well I may be old but I'll still be cute!". Does it get any better than that? I think not.

I was lucky enough to meet Stevie back stage on Oct. 01, 2001 following the last stop of her TISL tour. The stars simply aligned for me that magical night. It was the greatest thrill of my life, a childhood dream and vision manifested. I was able to thank Stevie, for so many things. The month prior she had been in NY during 9/11 which we talked about, as well as her life and my own. She was as gracious as I ever imagined she would be.

My sister took her life in 89. She loved Stevie Nicks. I was young and didn't understand her music. After her death I started listening and til this day love love her. She reminds me of her and it feels good.

she faces the struggles others are hurting about. she is strong in her love for others. she takes the time to love people who are utterly drowning in overwhelming grief.

Just beautiful. Stevie's voice has a quality that is just soothing, nothing like blasting a Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac song after a long day :)

Thank you so much for recording and posting this. Such a rarity for Stevie to sing this song in it's entirety at this point in her career, let alone as a solo piano performance. The new lyrics are haunting. I can't help but wonder if Stevie has practiced those new lyrics or is making them up right here on the spot. In either case, Stevie continuously fulfills the wishes of her fans to keep on singing and working day after day in so many different capacities and forums. I'm sure we will still be seeing Stevie singing when she's 70. I told her that once when I met her in 1993. She agreed with me. Looks like the old gal knew her own destiny after all, just as she has always claimed!

Stevie was so amazing in American Horror Story! I also loved her performance of “Gypsy” in season 8 Apocalypse. The way she sang it to Misty, right after being released from her personal hell, was so beautiful ♥️

Can the object of a song change through time and space? Can this song have started out being about a child of Joe Walsh's, and end up being about someone else? The answer to these questions is yes. This song is about Herbert Worthington III, Stevie's photographer (also for Fleetwood Mac) for many years. Among other things, he did the cover for the album which this song originates. This song, more then anything else, describes the relationship between Stevie and Herbert (and it's tragic ending). He died three years after Stevie banished him from her life, shortly before she sang this in that episode of AHS. My brother originally met Herbert in 1970 via Jimi Hendrix. I met him shortly after he completed the 'Rumours' album cover about seven years later. I remember exactly what happened the last time I saw Herbert alive. Oh my G-d!

Yay! I finally bought an electric piano and just learning from youtube lessons, it's hard! Omg, it's so hard. The I remembered the movie Music of the Heart, and Meryl Streep is all, you shouldn't quit something because it's hard... I started with over the rainbow, and it's hard! I can play the blue keys, and the pink keys, and just play that way til my mind can sync my hands and mind to play both at the same time. I have a long ways to go but it is my goal to get it at most for 2022. I am also learning this tune from the movie Ameile. It's a very experience.
