It is so hard to create the Leslie Speaker effect with a pedal! Nobody wants to port a Leslie around! Our Bluesy keyboard guy had a full size Hammond and a Leslie. I hated humping those huge pieces...but the sound? OMG I loved it!

Hi Corey! Man I'm digging your channel. I'm working on the cold shot rhythm ( about 2 weeks) and I'm getting ready to start the solo part 1 lesson. I wanted to ask you about a looper lesson. I would really like to hear you give some advice ( or a lesson) on how to begin to get benefits out of a loop pedal. Maybe from square one.. a total beginner lesson on how to get into the " loop" 😃 And like you have been duly dubbed, you ARE the working man's teacher. Thanks!

Thanks for the lesson, i have had a strat for the last six years , but had it in standard tuning and preferred my Les Paul , so it's pretty much been an ornament for six years , but since tuning it too E flat can't wait to play it every day, and you've shown me just how versatile a strat is plus learn how to play SRV thanks again cheers .

Bends are a little easier if you tune down a half a step instead of use the pedal? Great tutorial thanks!

Exactly right but, the pedal helps not having to re set up your guitar etc. fun quick fix

For many many years I've used a Timmy for the job you use the Lightspeed for Corey. Have you ever compared the two?

Timmys are great for sure. The Lightspeed just seems to be the best for me and don’t seem as compressed as the Timmy. Feels like the midrange dips on the Timmy too. That’s probably me though.

@@coreycongilio Nah, you're not imagining it. If you cut treble on the Timmy it does actually scoop the upper mids a fraction. This works fine for me as I'm using Vox or Tweed style amps that have abundant mids. The Timmy can definitely be very uncompressed though depending on how you have the DIP switches or Toggle (depending on model era) set.

Hi Corey, trying to figure out the drive pedal you are playing with at the end of the video that's just in front of the Greer Lightspeed.? I went through your list of pedals and having a hard time figuring out what it is

From right to left...JHS Whitey tightly, Lightspeed, boss ge7, Vemuram shanks, Nightshade by Grindstone fx. Hope that helps!
