i once saw an interview of BY KING talking about Stevie Ray Vaughn and he said that he ( bb) Carey's on a conversation with his guitar luciell and Stevie can just talk through his guitar for hours never running out of things to say. THAT is iconic coming from BB king!

Yep. He plays with his teeth, knocks a tooth out, casually looks around the stage floor for it. He doesn't see it, then mouths to Reese on the keys, "It's gone". He keeps right on playing and never misses a beat. Straight up guitar savage. We Texans consider him to be a demi god. He was sent to us briefly and changed the world for the short time he was here. We love him and miss him so much!

@@minigirl6379 You can lip-read him saying "I lost my tooth." Saw the clip a ton of times without noticing until someone pointed it out in a comment. It's an emotional show closer. They way he just sustains and bends one note with one hand with that shot from behind facing the crowd in just monumental. I've seen a version where that little bit at the end literally sounds like a real life bird singing. Amazing

He’s been the GOAT from Texas since I was 8. I suspect he will be until well after I’m called home to Heaven where I will be hearing him play every day.

My brother is known as a trick blues guitar player he is not showin' off. ❤❤❤❤ he still is #1 in the world. Besides the Guitar. ❤❤❤❤ Stevie Ray is the Guitar. ❤❤❤❤ He played 7 hours a day 365 days a year 7 days a week. He played for 15 hours at Antones in Austin. He collapsed when he got off the stage. He was 14 years old the first time he did that. ❤❤❤❤. I am Stevie's Little Sister. Now ya'll know what that song's about. ❤❤

There's simply no arguing with phenomena, is there. 'Not a question, really. Great reaction - thanks for the respect you show the artist, not injecting yourself into the performance every few seconds as so many reactors are given to do. And for listening so intently. Hearing. Very nicely done -

This is what humans are capable of when they dont waste they're energy on technology. Stevie was a special human being so he can't be compared to the ordinary human. He was special.

No matter how many times I see this video it is still incredible to watch. According to Tommy & Chris in an interview that Stevie didn't do the behind the back every show or during the same song. And, they said the only time they used a set list was on the tour they did with the James Gang. The interview is available on KZfaq.

Please react to Look at Little Sister with Jeff Healey. Jeff was blind ,but man could he play. SRV does a version in Austin,TX that is amazing, then he does the same song with Jeff Healey but it's quite different. Stevie Ray never played a song the same way twice. Every time you watch or listen to his music, it's different.

Well I always thought it was a breakup song. He starts out by saying its flooding in Texas which to me represents tears. Then he talks about dark clouds which again to me represents trouble in the relationship then mentions its driving him insane then at the last he is emotionally over it and is leaving her and going back to a safe place called home. I mean it is the blues, right?

As far as I know the El Mo is still there although covid has put a damper on most venues. They had renovations done for 2020 so it's not quite the same old haunt of mine back in the 70's.

Oh good yes, Lindsey Buckingham is severely underrated when people speak of great guitarists. Try “I’m So Afraid” from the 1997 The Dance concert video. He makes his guitar scream, cry, sob, whimper -- mindblowingly awesome.

Really the songs lyrics are secondary so no point trying to uber-analyze them - Its really about the guitar work, making it talk, wail and do the talking itself.
