Fantastic, I love everything thing about it. Beautifully thought and easy to digest!! That’s the art of a Great teacher. Stevie is Mt. Rushmore then there’s others No dis to the Other Gifted Legends. But there’s Only 1 Stevie like there is as Only 1 Prince. Pls keep up the deep dive lesson there Gold!!

Awesome! Thanks! I don't understand the Fo in the last bar though. To me, choosing an F chord is the right choice, yes, since it feels as an Ab7 with a F chord on top. (or Dminor7; there's also a D feel in it) But then it's a F7b9, not an Fo. (Fo would mean F, Ab & B having to be in the chord/scale; but it's F#, A, C, so it's actually a F#o instead)

Incredible insights. I wonder how you came up with the chords/pentatonics in the boxes. For example for the Bmaj7, is the rule that the pentatonic for a maj7 chord built on the flat 7 scale degree is always built off the third degree of that chord? Is the pentatonic for the 4maj7 chord always built off the 1chord? Why is the box chord for Ab13b9 built off the 6th degree when the box chord for B7alt is built from the flat7 degree?

At around 27.58, when the chord is B7#11, and you say G-nat. doesn't sound good? The G# sounds better. That's because the parent diatonic scale for you pentatonic is F# melodic minor. It's the whole-tone portion of the melodic minor. I prefer the pentatonic F#-G#-A-C#-F(E#)

Perfect BUT - why confuse us with 1 3 4 5 7 as min pent? When 1 b3 4 5 b7 is actual min pent. I know that's how Classically trained musos do it when the context is minor - but it' just creates confusion.
