There were times watching Stevie Ray in WCW where he was scary, other times comedy gold and always real. We missed out not ever getting to see him as a WWE character.

What I wouldn't give for Harlem Heat to be back together in WWE & bring Sherri in before she passed away. I'm 45 years old & have watched wrestling since I was 3 & Harlem Heat will always be my all time favorite team !

They had Booker running in a grocery store from a guy in a knee brace.. then had him do a humiliating racist angle then HHH buried him by taking forever to cover him, had him tag team with a golden switch hitter, had him playing a delusional king.. Booker made those roles work and got them over which I commend Booker on doing.. I'm still upset they had Booker drop the World Heavyweight belt to a guy he beat up in real life cuz he was being a diva..

Of all the guys from WCW at that time, only a few did good in WWE. Booker got the worst of it to I think. I can remember me and my Dad talking about it when it happened. He basically said they're gonna make it so hard on the WCW guys that they all quit, because Vince didn't want WCW for any reason other than to burry it.

Booker didn't have to do anything in wwe anybody else didn't have to do. Dude got pushed to the top quick as hell in the grand scheme of things. The grocery store angle was gold. And its just a work people, doesn't matter about knee braces. Book got paid major dollars too.

Yeah I agree those first few years booker came in they buried the shit out of him. Booker most memorable moments will always be getting humiliated by Austin , Rock , HHH.

As a 10 year old watching the Invasion angle in the WWE for the first time I can tell you this: I didn't know who Booker T was but I liked him more than The Rock! I never liked The Rock and I found Book funny and what helped him get over (for me) was him teaming with Goldust and him feuding with Stone Cold. To be fair Stone Cold was made to look like a pansy against Kurt Angle. Remember when he was filmed kidnapped and was crying for his life and Angle called him the Waddle-snake? It was just a joke. Acting. Book understood that. He could play the fool and job and sell for the company as asked to but he knew how to stick up just enough for himself to still remain an alpha and seen as someone important, you know? I hate looking back and seeing him as a "gate keeper" who could've been pushed to greater heights but to be fair this was done to MANY people of all colors and sizes. Big Show was a 500lb jobber for years. Tajiri had just as much talent as Rey Mysterio but didn't sell as much merch so wasn't as successful as him- and even Kane as big and bad as he was never won the WWE belt as much or held it for as long as HHH for example....Overall I think Book did well- although I stopped watching in 2005 and when I took a glimpse at him playing some king character I thought that gimmick was stupid as hell

My take is,WCW wrestlers didnt want to go to WWE have to be rebuilt. Surely wcw guys didnt think they were going to come in at the top and phase WWE stars out. That wouldnt even make sense. And it's almost as if wrestlers are too much of mark for themselves they forget they're playing "CHARACTERS" on tv. Booker stayed in wresting cause understood everything was just a work. & WWE worked everyone. Then let's act Austin,Triple H & Undertaker didnt all come from WCW. Rey Mysterio Big Show Chris Jericho Chris Benoit Goldberg Eddie Guerrero All were smart and they ALL became WWE/F/World heavyweight champion,but the wrestlers who marked for themselves saw nothing good. And the angle with Booker and The Rock.... Booker already explained that to the crowd tons oftimes. Like we I said Booker understands the business.
