Stewart Copland is one of my influences in my drumming. It's always great to see him drumming again.

For those people who've missed the point here....Stewart is clearly NOT taking himself seriously, or being serious. It's only a bit of music people, it doesn't mean anything. Enjoy.

I don't care if it's "jazz"or not, I always love watching Stewart play, the man has lived a life most can only dream of, he is easily in the top 3 drummers ever on my list, the man has inspired me like no other drummer, very articulate, intelligent, and funny as well, would love to have a beer with him someday!

Stewart Copeland is talented and funny ...and intelligent. Great to see him still out there. I went and saw Sting play in London Ontario a few years ago. He was doing all the Police songs. The guitar player and drummer were good ..but my cousin who was there ..went and saw the Police a year later on their reunion tour. He said it was night and day. The energy they put out. CHemistry between musicians is a very ethereal thing. Can be the most talented ..but just doesn't come off. I wish I could play with Stewart Copeland .....I like his vibe!!!!

its him in his police days along with pick withers from dire straits (i could even mention phil rudd of acdc or topper headon of clash as well etc.) to whom i can attribute my inclination of percussiomania... well what is happenin' in here should not have leaked out , in fact Topper Headon has a discernibly better inclination to play 'jazz' whatever we mean by that...to cut this l s short Stewart Copeland is not just utterly out of his niche but seems to have found another one acting as some kind of comedy infused jazz historian ....well let him do it , if he enjoys it as noone seems like having the audacity to tell him :mate, when is come s to jazz and u r compelled to participate in it the only way it could have entertainmant value is to put on a self deprecatin parody show. there seems to be a correlation of peoples' adoration of the movie 'Whiplash' and their tendency to treat S.C. as a flat out genious.

Why do people ask a rock drummer to talk about and play jazz? I mean Stewart is an excellent drummer, but the fact is that he can’t play jazz
@waynebrian12745 ай бұрын
He admits he’s not a jazz drummer, but he’s trying to expand. Lessons though might help :-)
