This trip was a huge upgrade from last year's trip! So fun! Every camping trip has it's moments but that's where you get your best memories as a family! Some of our favorite crazy stories are from our camping adventures gone wrong.

When we camped with our kids in the late 70s, 80's we literally threw a bed mattress in the back of an old ford pickup and camped! You don't have to have a fancy camper. We built a fire and I cooked on a iron skillet. Great memories. Keep it simple like you are. I enjoy your videos so much.

Nothing like tent camping!! Best memories! Our little girls LOVE it!! We do a air mattress then tons of pillows and cozy blankets 😊💙 Lol I grew up camping but my husband and I still had to learn how! One of my best memories growing up was when we decided to hike to our camp site (about a 8mile walk up and down a mountain side) we were whooped and so tired lol our backpacks of supplies felt like a ton if bricks lol. Needless to say it poured rain that night!! No tent just two tiny lean-to shelters for 9 of us (piled on top of each other). We were soaked to the bone shivering around the fire pit all wrapped up half the night haha but all of us kids just loved the adventure of it all!! 💙

The best memories are the things you have to learn. Poor pregnant momma so hungry. 🤣 I don't physically nor personally know yall, but I love yall. I am praying for you! We had the worst hot camping trip one year, so miserable but it was also the best camping trip I've ever had. Bc we made memories. The Lord is good.

Tenting is so fun. We did it 4 or 5 times this summer. One time it was 4 nights in Wyoming! Stew Crew camping 2.0 looked so much more fun than last year. Although the memories were probably just as good. Great job guys! And personally I think the sound of rain on a tent is soothing and relaxing.😴

I grew up camping (in the Pacific Northwest) with a tarp underneath the tent to help prevent leaking or moisture from potentially entering the tent, also an extra in case of rain, or the popup canopies, for over the tent or eating area. To keep warm, stuff a blanket or extra sweatshirt at the bottom of your sleeping bag to help further insulate. Also, excellent drone shots!

Camping is such an amazing family bonding experience! In fact, we must have literally JUST missed you guys because we were there camping this past weekend! We were there to watch our son play in the Rocky Top youth football tournament and also to celebrate his 10th birthday! It was such a beautiful state park and we would definitely go back. The more you camp the more you will pick up new tips and tricks that will make your stay more enjoyable. Don't be afraid to ask campers around you for advice, most of the time they are eager to help. Good job Evan! You started the fire! I would be just like Carlin saying how my Dad does it and asking if I should call him lol! Tent camping in the cold is no fun! Y'all should borrow the Bates camper next time if you camp so late in the year once it's cold.

My husband uses a torch to start a fire.. and you gotta have small kindling and then bigger and bigger .. and build it in a teepee style so it has air to feed fire between.. and if you plan to camp a lot.. invest in a propane stove then it's easier to cook meals boil water :) it gets easier the more gear you have :) and always plan for breakfast 😀 you will be hungry every time haha

Nothing like camping with a good hot dog and chips. Your mattress may have been large but it took away the extra space of cold that sits in the tent. I hope Fire man was warm in his sleeping bag. What your Dad calls "brownies" work great! They take a little bit to ignite, but once lit, they're awesome! Great job Stew Crew!

Always bring 2 or 3 waterproof tarps too. One over the top of the tent & one underneath where you're sleeping.You can even put one all the way under your tent & cover the ground & always bring 1 or 2 wool blankets & socks too.

Love seeing you guys out camping! It's a lot of work, especially when you have little ones, but with time and practice it will get easier, and the family memories you make are priceless! I wish we would have done more of it when our boys were little - they grow up so fast! They still talk about the times we did go - lasting memories!

RV SHARE is the coolest way to be able to use an RV without the maintenance. It’s pretty cheap and you have so many kinds and style to choose from.

If you don’t have the space for all the camping equipment, you should check into getting a Jetboil and Mountain House brand dehydrated food. You literally just boil water and dump it into the bag it comes in!! They have breakfasts, dinners, snacks.. you name it. And the mountain house brand actually tastes really good! It’s a lifesaver and you don’t have to worry about all the tools (like a can opener LOL) you guys are great! Keep up the good work 🧡

Better than last year for sure. You just need smaller wood pieces to put in a teepee and lite then smaller logs to catch before you put the bigger logs. Don't touch the sides of the tent, so the water doesn't come in. Definitely need a bigger tent I'd you have an air mattress.😂 Also, if you zip your sleeping bags together it can big one big one.

Every camping experience is different. Carlin I would have to get up to pee I would take the dog with me. I loved walking to the bathroom. You do need a bigger tent. Good Job Evan. It is more fun and less work when you stay longer. You keep all your camping in a container and all you have to do is get your food box ready and grab your container with your can opener and matches. Thank you for the laughs. It really helps me get through my days.

You did a great job getting everything together ❤ 👏 🙌 glad you had Breakfast served to you. What a fun adventure. My parents used to go to served different states camping with a insurance company we belonged to. They would schedule different areas to stay in different states then you could choose which ones you wanted to stay at. Dad bought a 4 room tent for just us 3. Mom Dad and me. I was probably 4 when we started camping and continued until I was 14. Dad got sick with diabetes and renal failure wasn't able to go do much anymore. But we had many memories of camping and fishing and eating yummy food by the fire. Dad was an Amazing cook he made steak and potatoes in foil packets with the best gravy I have ever tasted. He made eggs and sausage and gravy and biscuits for breakfast made potatoes too. He even made cakes and cobblers in a homemade oven he used a box put foil around it several thick layers and then used charcoal lit it and baked all kinds of stuff in it. We usually stayed between a week and 10 days when we were out of state if we were within a few hours from our house we would leave on Thursday head to set it up then head back home on Sunday if it got bad out we had Friends that had campers they let us stay with them.

I take my 4 boys camping on my own and I found it really useful having storage bins for everything like I have 1 for kitchen 1 for fire 🔥 1 for lights and torches 🔦 and then 1 for beding works a treat

If you tear your paper/ cardboard it catches flame a lot quicker. Also if you use slivers of wood/kindling and form a teepee over your firestarter log , and then form another teepee with your larger chunks of wood around that you will have a roaring fire in no time!😄 And fire needs to breathe so you want to keep that in mind when forming your teepee.

As soon as you get home, make a checklist for next time. Don't forget your meals, fires, etc....the list is where you resolve the issues you had like, size of tent, blankets, etc... Also, you mentioned power when blowing up the mattress. Of the park has power, you can run a power cord to your tent and use an electric blanket.

Good job on the fire the truck to starting a fire a couple wks before your trip save your tp paper rolls and paper towel rolls and when you get the logs ask for kindling as well makes starting way easier hubby and I truck bed camp full time

Always take a bag of corn chips with you use a few to light the fire. It works like a charm.

When we tent camped we would get a site with electricity and keep a small space heater on low at night. It helps keep you warm but it keeps the moisture out. We also used tent sealer on the seams to prevent water leaking. We had a mini fridge and a fan. We used those cushion pads that hook together on the sides for underneath our tent. Your guys are so cute and you make me laugh. Looks like you had fun! Great job with the fire Evan. Next time bring lots of cardboard and kindling.
