He can still solo the final boss when user controlled tho, but only in Normal, he will absolutely lose in Hard and Insane difficulty but he can still carry you through levels and even solo some of them on any difficulty assuming you have to user control him, he still a pretty a good unit spell, just not as overpowered as he used to be...

​@@laggers6480Still not enough to justify his base damage doing a mere 50 when other spell units and bosses outclassed him damage wise. And he's the most expensive of the spell units, id like my 1000 gems not be spent on just a wall, but one that is more useful at offensive situations as well.

@@Mooffgamesgamer However with the giant statue, griffon gets a somewhat helpful buff, he is able to solo the final boss in hard and can solo almost all of the levels in insane, granted you spawn him immediately in the start before the enemy has managed to stack up some reinforcements, plus some of the giant skins when equipped can also be apply to griffon where he receives their abilities, so he is somewhat worth it but it's still better to have an army of giants with the giant statue equipped, it's alot cheaper, just make sure to user control some of them to take advantage of their attack abilites if they have skins equipped,(Lava,Voltaic,Undead,Savage)..

It's best to user control griffon to take advantage of the extra damage, it also negates his AI from wasting the earthquake ability early when there are only few enemies that he faces since his AI will usually use the earthquake ability first..
