I like that what’s worrying Bandit is never stated. It could be something as trivial as figuring out what to make for dinner, or something deeper. Regardless, him interacting with Bingo helps him feel a bit better and to relax

I think wild girls hits on that unsettling kid feeling when you think you're playing together, but out of your sight something new/cool turned up. And no one told you your mates moved on to something else, because they didn't realize you missed the cool new thing.

the australian version has different dialogue when they're up in the treehouse. it's "is there something wrong with your old school?" "no... there's something wrong with me." growing up neurodivergent i definitely had a little cry at that

I LOVE how neurodivergence is portrayed in Bluey, the first time I watched this, I could tell Jack either had Asperger's Syndrome or ADHD...

Army still feels weird that even in an episode about Jack learning he can play with others and do things on the right circumstances, they change the “something wrong with me”, to “something going on with me”. Especially as they don’t change Rusty’s question - which makes it clear from his view that if Jack couldn’t be at the other school, it was the school’s fault, not Jack’s

For me, Wild Girls was about being open to change. Kind of another version of Helicopter where Bluey had to adapt her game for each passenger she took on her helicopter in regards to her mom telling her not everything goes to plan/plans change. Coco needed to be open to trying new games or adapting the game she was already playing to include Indy and Chloe’s wants for something different. It’s also about growth and self reflection as to why Coco didn’t want to play another game or change it. In the end it wasn’t about the game at all. She realized she just liked playing with Indie. So she incorporated her wild girl game into farmers and Indy caught on quickly, resulting in coco and Indy still being able to play together over two different games.

i can't really put my finger on why, but Stickbird hits me hard. it's so weird to see Bandit like this, and going by what Chili tells him and his sad tone in his _I'm trying_ we can tell it's something serious, so him learning a way to get rid of those emotions at least for a while from his own child is so wholesome. i feel like this is one of those episodes which lesson is less directed towards kids and more towards adults since a lot of us sometimes need a reminder to not let things that bother us make us miss on moments we are not going to get back

I like to think that Calipso is always there but far enough to let the kids be inmersed in their games

Jack has a little sister, her name is Lulu according to Explorers, but she has also been seen named Jill in some official materials.

I take wild girls as an allegory for religion or old fashioned values and modern living, clashing cultures etc. The daughter joins the farmers against her mothers beliefs and practices, ultimately the mother has to accept the daughter leaving but the daughter never forgets her origins

Maybe Bandit got the job offer that reveals in The Sign episode and is considering it, thats why he is anxious and saf about what to do?

As a father of a little kid with ADHD (I've ADHD too) I have to say this episode is one of my favorites ever. And, yes, Rusty is the best secondary character alongside Calipso.

As someone who grew up with ADHD and Autism, I appreciate seeing a parent who is willing to support your child who has autism. I was definitely punished for things I couldn't help like stimming, I would snap my fingers a bunch and sometimes I'd get in trouble. Jack is definitely struggling with so many things and wants to be a good kid (he already is but he thinks he isn't)

ADHD and autism are very much cousins I was the kid that often got in trouble when I never meant to do wrong. It’s just as someone with adhd it’s hard for me to follow a rule if I do not understand the reason or need for it We’re good kids we just find a harder time understanding the world around us and I’m so happy that you are such a good dad for your son
