I'm noticing a patern that almost every marble channel falls into. If there's an early good sized lead (about 1/3 in), root for the loosing team. About 90% of the time, you'll pick right.

When it comes to balancing of the powers in the battle my goal was always to have a nice back-and-forth battle between the opposing teams.Otherwise the battle seems very one-sided and for me personally not very interesting (e.g. like in this video which for some reason was VERY hard to balance: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z6mjastozLuWj4E.html). During the back-and-forth at some point in time each team can be treated as a loosing one, but the outcome is pretty random because of more than one back-and-forth iteration.
