Stihl Battery Weed Whacker Review FSA 90R. Tonight we once again tried electric battery trimmer on the farmstead. The outcome was better then years prior models we have used. The power was there and so was the duration which was great. Don't get us wrong we still love gas 2 cycle beast

Fantastic review, voice over really enhanced the video, Totally get and agree with your analysis, glad to see your daughter enjoying strimmer, l purchase the same model two months ago and I love it. I have just subscribed, greeting from Ireland !!!

I bought a Stihl weed wacker and I absolutely love it. I do not have to pull a cord which was impossible to start and hurt my back. No more gas and oil!. I really haven't timed myself but I Will. I like the idea of getting two batteries but having to work in 90° Heat is enough for me. It's lightweight and easy for a 67 year old to handle. I absolutely love it

The was such a great review ! Appreciate the time you took to make this review and all your input on the trimmer .. been wanting to buy a battery trimmer and was like You with thinking of how the older battery device's we're. Have a km55 combo gas one and a fs91r that's like over 12 pounds .

That was a good review ! Looks like the one I will buy. 1/2hr, wow. High weeds, I gotta few of them I can't get with the rider mower. We just have a small residential. This would be perfect. Thanks

Good honest assessment, I Now have the fsa86r strimmer to go with my Stihl battery hedge trimmer and chainsaw (which all take the same battery) and I honestly don’t think I’ll be going back to petrol!

How is the FSA 86r doing? I doubt between the 86r and 90r

Thanks, this information is helpful as I have been hesitant to switch; but, my old Makita is in the same shape as your John Deere.

As much as I would like to switch too electric, it’s just not feasible on my farm where I have to trim around our wind cover trees, I would definitely say I would get it for the house yard as well

This is impressive. My Stihl FS55 is getting tired after 15 years and I’m considering converting to the battery. I found your vid in my research, and it’s convincing evidence. How long does it take to fully recharge on a 110 supply?

I might be late for this question, but anyway: it depends ... with the normal charger and the AP 300S battery it takes maybe 3hrs? Using the quick charger maybe 40 mins for a full charge. I use 2 batteries and the quick charger and there is no downtime at all. (I might be able to create some downtime if I REALLY tried though ^^)

WARNING: Battery operated tools are for California compliance only, nothing else. In California, most properties with lawns are under HOA's or sprawling condominium/apartment complexes that are professional managed. They have contractors that mow lawns daily for a living. They mow year round since California has a miild winter. Battery operated tools need regular use to get your money's worth out of them. A regular homeowner in middle America that uses their tools occasionally will be very disappointed at the lifespan and performance of the tool. Any store in anywhere else America is just stealing your money by selling them to you.

Yes it is a bit short which is annoying if you are of taller frame , I have this strimmer and a gardener in the UK , personally I think it's rubbish, only fit for light homeowner use, stock to petrol if you have a lot of hard strimming to do as I do a lot of long footpaths and battery just wouldn't cut it. 👍
