Looking at your videos and saw this blast from the past, awesome. I had actually thought about getting one of these several times. Lots of rocks.

The power sweep is definitely a huge time saver for us. What use to take a few hours now only takes 20-30 minutes. One of our most popular videos for sure. Thanks for your continued views we appreciate it.

Just bought the ego version that is battery powered after raking gravel back onto the shoulder from snowplow every spring. Works wonders plus dethatches grass in the process. Incredible tool !

That’s awesome. Didn’t know they made one. Bet it is a lot lighter for sure.

Everything below the hoop handle is part of the attachment. Basically the paddle wheel and about 3 feet of shaft.

That is awesome. Anytime you can get a rake out of your hands is a win.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and turn the attachment 180 degrees (upside down) so It goescbackward and you pull it instead. The difference in effort is night and day. It pulls with no effort. Also, you only need to run it about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle (that's where it works best). Also. With it turned around, since you are pulling it, it makes ditches a breeze. We just go lengthwise with it angled, like a plow and work back and forth, though. Let me know how it works!

Ground Control thanks for the tip. I have seen others using it like that before and thought about trying it but didn’t want the debris coming at me. We will give it a try.

@groundcontrol Just bought one and boy is it great. How do k go about running it in reverse as you said. Just turning the machine upside down or?
@groundcontrol27956 жыл бұрын
Green Appeal Property Care. Loosen the attachment, and rotate it 180 degrees on the shaft. There are cotter pins at the outside ends of the drums. The drums slide off (you only have to race one, as the torxbit bolts are only on one side where it clamps down on the shaft (same for removal to out on other attachments). You should have the torxbit tool, as they come with the machine. On a sidenote: If you ever remove the drum completely off the hex shaped plastic spindle (like for full attachment removal), the drum only goes on one way. Each side ofvthe hex is different so it only fits on one way. It literally tool me longer to write this than it does to do this. : )

Ground Control thanks. It now works night and day better!

Ground Control didn’t I see you post that on other videos too?

does the gearbox come with the attachment?
@ricepadi296 жыл бұрын
The power head and the attachment are bought separately. Basically the lower half of the shaft on down is the power broom.

It’s a Nice diverse unit. What are you accomplishing? I have one & I Never thought to use mine in the lawn. Not sure it’s doing as good of a job for someone to pay as a service. A lawn renovation with a dethatch, aerate and overseed would be ideal, and closer to turf maintenance best-practice. Thanks

J Wodehouse We use it mainly to get gravel out of yards after winter snow plowing. What use to take a couple hours for our own driveway now only takes 20-30 minutes.

Cool use of it. Thanks for the reply. Cinders do make a mess and if left on they eventually change the pH of the soil.

If you had an area of yard with gravel mixed into the soil about a foot deep, do think you could remove a significant amount of rocks by sweeping, tilling, sweeping,tilling...?
@ricepadi292 жыл бұрын
The power broom is really only for surface sweeping. It does not dig down.
@yuzurname2 жыл бұрын
@@ricepadi29 Right. But that’s why I was hoping that if I sweep the surface, then rototill that I could sweep out more rocks. I’m surprised that there aren’t many tools available to perform this task of removing rocks from dirt. I did find that there is a rockhound that does this but is a specialty tool that is not too readily available.

Gotcha. Ya I think it would do the trick.

does it mess up the grass at all? how long after you do this until it is all green and refreshed?
@ricepadi295 жыл бұрын
Dillon Kidder it doesn’t really hurt the healthy grass at all. It doesn’t tend to pull out the dead stuff though like a detached does. We try to use it in the early spring to get rocks out before the grass gets too tall. I think we took this video in late February during a winter warm up.

@@ricepadi29 I'm doing this today so was curious. Thanks.

Mandeep Buttar I don’t know if equipment rental places have these available. If they don’t they may want to think bout adding one of these to their inventory. Thanks for watching.
