My 180CE has been great for 10+ years. Replaced starter cord once. Love the Easy Start especially when starting saw up on a ladder (yah I know I'm not supposed to do that).

I have the same exact saw mine has adjustment screws you just can't see them they are covered up

Thanks for the review ... I had a 180 CE (Easy Start) back 15 yrs ago. Never liked that saw. Easy start was anything but, and it had a several quirky features, I didn't like. Decided to chance it on a new one this week. Just the straight up MS 180. Totally different saw. It redeemed my opinion of Stihls. Handled a couple of 90 ft x 12-14 Popular very nicely, and ate up the smaller stuff like butter. I like it!

I got one of these, first test I did with it was bucking up 10ft of dry Eucalyptus which was 16" rounds. Had it fully buried the whole time Never even bogged and burned just under a tank for all the cutting. Not saying it's a power house because It's Not, but for a 32cc I was impressed, I've used an MS261 that would Bog down fully buried in the same type of wood.

Hell no, the ms180ce is a great saw if you keep the chains sharp, my little brother loves it because he can’t run my bigger saws, but even with just a muffler mod and good racing oil that thing SCREAMS and it chews some wood

I have a 180c and I love the saw. Pound for pound it the best running saw I have.

I have 2 ms180. One that was beat up and used when I got it. New plug.and slightuffler.mod and .050 14" bar and chain Other is an easy start with only mod being it is set up for 18" yes ,18" bar and chain Both hold their own very well I like them a lot Now I have a ms210 I bought used and it suddenly would not stay running. Carb had some crap in it, and it now runs like a top now

Hi Doug!!😀😀 I have one just like it. Had the same problem with it. Finally put a new carb on it and now it runs better than it did when it was new.

You can put a hippa adjustable carb on there , i always replace fuel lines and filter evertime i have to mess with a carb , run a ounce of marvels mystery oil through it , that will straighten that carb out .❤

Nice vid bud. I've ran my ms170 for 20 years and didnae Ken you could tune certain carbs until about 6 months ago.

I have one of these saws and the tooless chain adjuster will not tighten up my chain for nothing. I hate this saw so much.

Those little homeowner saws are such a pain..I just did a cheap husky too...fines in the carbs was the main problem.
