some easy modifications and discussions on the 194t chainsaw [ disclaimer; this will likely void warranty] Great for slight used 194ts that yoo would want a little more power from. Enjoy

Haven't ran mine lately picked up the 2511t converted it to 1/4 stihl and ported it and WOW at 5lbs it gets the job done when I'm in the tree if it were always running would be almost as convenient as my silky

The small half circle in the plastic is there to clear the mounting screw on the choke plate when the choke is activated. Filing it bigger won't help the saw performed better at full throttle. Deleting the plastic mount some how would help to smooth out the air flow as you mentioned. The hole in the silver choke plate only provides air to the engine when it is activated and has no affect on performance when it is in line with the airflow or not in use. If it was completely covered by plastic it would not matter as the carb is receiving ample air from the to and bottom and the choke plate is not interfering with the air flow.......

This video makes me want to pawn my saws and live in a cardboard box in the parking lot of a truck stop in Modesto

Thanks for the video! Just did the mods along with ya. Can't wait to cut. Have you done any further muffler mods? I usually drill out all my mufflers a bit lol
@Kev_Haggard3 жыл бұрын
I have on my 193. And I actually had a custom double barrel port on this 194. Replaces that should spot with a nice opening but enough flare to help keep sawdust out of the muffler. ( ive ran a couple 194s w out the shield for a good long while w no issue ) I think there's actually another baffle in the muffler that helps keep debris out. Thats whats important. I appreciate your support bro. I swear by the intake mod, and I'm actually gonna try my hand at timing advance soon

I'm considering upgrading from a 192 to a 194. Is it worth the price or should I just refresh my 192.
@Kev_Haggard2 жыл бұрын
Well worth the price in my opinion. Especially if you're familiar with the 192. My personal 194 is goin on 3 years old with daily commercial use and still running strong

Is this worth owning as well as a 201T? Love my echo 2511t but unreliable. 201t can be too heavy for some jobs
@treemands Жыл бұрын
Try a 151T. Essentially a 150 that starts on the first pull. Great for limbing but you need some skills beyond a noob to run it.
@Postal111able Жыл бұрын
The 201 is less than a pound heavier than the 194... 8lbs and change . Those makitas are hella light and pretty fantastic from what I hear from other arborists

@@luluschannel9862 are you running the right gauge?
@luluschannel98623 жыл бұрын
@@AUXdrone that's a great question I believe the Guage on the 14" was a .043 and I kept it the same in the 16"
@AUXdrone3 жыл бұрын
@@luluschannel9862 right on. Bought mine with a 16” 0.043 55DL, and recently swapped out for a 14”/50DL. I was gonna say, if you were running a 0.050 then stihl recommends a 9 pin sprocket but that doesn’t apply to you with the 043. Other than that, idk man…maybe try a stickier bar oil and dress the bar.
