I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. kzfaq.infoUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.

I'm a full time gardener and I once laughed at having to use electric tools and now I prefer them. So many benefits to them. Instant torque, clean, cheap to run, nil maintenance, long lasting. Batteries are good and don't take long to charge. I would love the stihl products but I have to use cheapo Ryobi tools for the moment which also are pretty good.

As a landscaper this is like watching Christmas morning lol. I love all of these new units!! 😍 I’m just not much of a fan of battery-power. It’s never long enough run time, and when the battery gets below about 25% battery life it starts to get weak and can’t output enough energy. Gas power is the way to go! But besides that critique everything else on these new units looks incredible! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've done tree and landscape work for 12 years now, started my own company last year...and there isnt a single other name I trust for my companies tools than STIHL. this video is also a prime example of someone like me who hasnt completely been on board with battery powered equipment. And its awesome to see that stihl is concentrated on making that a huge priority in this industry to make the switch at a nice pace. I'm excited to try out some of this new equipment... and ESPECIALLY proud of STIHL for making the Kombi attachments compatible with the existing gas powered head units. Other companies would have made you buy an entire new line up. Chainsaws I'll stick with my powerful gas pro saws....but I'm excited to try out the Kombi units and some other stuff when it comes to battery. Also the new backpack blowers......YES, these will be amazing I garuntee it. "ProMark Forestry" in Wichita, KS stands behind the STIHL name that's FOR SURE!

@@jmwarden1 I'll update, yes I've seen Stihl's used by professionals. But the ones my friends owned or ones I've acquired just would not start. I think mostly the trigger mechanism. Maybe it's just a fluke in my life but I wouldn't buy one.

most people who dont do landscaping for a living they never maintain there equipment, but still buy the best known brand for quality, which is why there is alot of Stihls around. Air filters, triggers, spark plugs, lines, caps will all break givin a few years. they need to be maintained and replaced regularly. your really paying for the quality of the engine system which can almost always be fixed if it goes out of tune with a stihl.

Until the price and tech behind the battery powered stuff gives us no choice but to switch. I'd say give it 5 years and the market will be primarily battery powered tools.

Josh Jones nah. Batteries wear out and have to be replaced, and they’re stupid expensive. For the commercial stuff, the backpack is a dealbreaker. I guess it will work for homeowners that can’t handle gas and oil. That’s kinda sad for them. I ran electric for a few years, not worth it. Messing with gas is just easier and better results. I don’t see that changing.

@@rogermurph101 what make and model did you run because this is the first time I've seen equipment this impressive. And it's only gonna get better and cheaper. Just like everything involved in technology it's going to progress or they wouldn't spend the resources developing these tools. There was a dude with a push behind mower at one point who tried one of the first combustion mowers and said the same thing as you. Everything evolves.

@@rogermurph101 like it or not battery is the future. How could gas and oil possibly be easier. Running to the gas station, the store for oil, spark plugs. Less noise, more torque, no maintenance, no emissions. Just keep a few batteries charged and swap out. Much faster than going to the store.

The weigh, size, and run time factor would have to surpass gas powered. I don't think the tech is there yet but it's coming. I say 10 years out.

I thought I was going to finally be on board with the batteries, especially when the pack is on your back, but there are definitely safety aspects to consider if a trigger is always active. I would much rather pull the cord on a reliable 2 stroke to start, and not deal with accidental trigger pulls when it is off.

Literally just unplug the battery pack when you would nornally shut the engine off
