Norvegicust storytime: The Chaossorcerer was fully prepared to give himself to Nurgle. He could hear the cultists chant in the great chamber while the brew he would imbibe was prepeapered by other alcolytes. He was ready to embrace the virulence and his name shall be CHANT. The moulder petted the rat for one last time. He chose it of the litter for his qualities. Norvegicust wasn`t the biggest or the strongest, but he was fast and cunning and tough. Exactly what the grey seers demanded. He handed the rat to the plague monk “I get it ready ready. A big big future you have furball” the monk murmured while he grabbed the frightened rat with his leprous claws. He hurled the squeaking rat into a cauldron with foul smelling concoction. The gutterrunner watched some chanting manlings from a crevice in the ceiling. He had a bloated but nonetheless agile rat in his pack. This rat must reach the cauldron in which the manlings prepared some kind of drink for one of theirs. “Run run you must Norvegicust to this cauldron” he told the rat. The rat focused him with a cunning that he wouldn`t have seen before in others like him. It dropped to the floor and started to sneak his way through the manlings and in an unobserved moment climbed the cauldron and jumped into the boiling brew, dissolving in mere moments. CHANT stood in the middle of the chamber. The chalice of the Grandfather was presented to him and he emptied it in one go. He could immediately feel Nurgles gifts taking hold of his body. The battle was escalating. CHANT fought the dwarf champion, but his opponent was stronger. He already suffered from some wounds and felt he was losing. His troops where on the backfoot too. The plague choir in his head was suddenly interrupted. “Run, run we must. Survival is mandatory yes, yes” He heard the voice in his head and couldn`t resist the urge to run away. While he was fleeing the battlefield he saw his troops mowed down by the canons and guns of the victorious dwarves. “We can have that too. To the Skaven we go, go. They give, give.” And CHANT liked the idea. “The skaven mingled with our newest plague, Father” the herold told Festermouth. The Great Unclean One smiled. “I`m curious, we shall see how it proceeds.” “But he wants our Chosen to buy artillery from the rats.” “Let him do for a bit…but we will show the rats who is in control, too. Grant him some Soulgrinders and then give him the idea to spread the gift to the Dawi Zharr and get their guns. So that we can share the Grandfathers gifts from afar.” “It shall be done, Father” Festermouth smiled again. Quite happy over this new addition to the garden of plagues. “If the Chosen does well, we might grant him ascension…but we will test him for sure.”

Unfortunately, I understand why Tamurkhan's Campaign fails to bring the hour long episodes, even with new units and reworked campaign stuff for Nurgle factions, Archaon has kinda made people a little tired of Chaos content, and Nurgle hasn't always been the most popular faction inspite of how fun they are now.

Let's get those toad dragons in tamurkhan's army asap. Wanted to see how they play compared to bubebolos.

While I know very (very) little of warhammer lore in general, I have suggestions for Norvegicust's lore considering the theme: Perhaps some sort of cult centered around a rather extremist way to expand the Grandfather's garden? Borrowing the ideas from the beastman campaign, Norvegicust could have been born or steered towards the idea that to better embrace Nurgle's blessings, he must make sure the land is properly prepared. In a similar fashion to how in agriculture, sometimes to change the type or kind of seed, the current plantations must be burned to enrich the soil with nutrients and stuff **(Im literally talking about it while knowing little to nothing about agriculture)** And of course, the Skaven and some Chaos Dwarves follow him out of selfish reason or maybe even shared belief

How about norvegicust was the leader of a bretonian trebuchet squad , and saw his protectors charge forward and leave the peasants to die to the skaven horde so that the lord could escape. As his friends were ran over by plague monks, and he was dying from the skaven plague, he prayed for anything to save him and his crew. Nurgle heard his prayer and asked what he would do to save him and his troops from death. The reply he got was "everything." This was the first step on Norvegicust's path to glory. He slayed the skaven warlord and subjugated the filthy ratmen. Afterward, Norvegicust traveled the world as a chaos lord, still favoring artillery as the main way of spreading the plaguefathers love partially because it could spread disease from afar and partially because it made him feel like his old self again. But Nurgle was going to keep him to his part of the bargain, to do everything, and always threw Norvegicust into the highest risk battles. But high risk means high reward, and soon Norvegicust found himself on the brink of ascension. Nurgle gave him a vision of who he had to kill to reach deamonic apotheosis, and he saw his own crewmates. Some nostalgic part of him was using his power to keep them alive, too, and to reach deamonhood, he needed all that power for himself. So he slaughtered them all and ascended. The flesh of his fellow peasants turned champions he used to construct his first soul grinder. Now Norvegicust wanders the realm, selling his artillery crew to any warlord that nurgle tells him to, and using his immortality to go to even riskier battles to try and gain even more glory in grandfather's name and maybe by some miracle, join his old crew in death. Like his knightly lord before him, he cares not about the men manning his cannons and he has only a few creatures that he still trusts. First is the chaos dwarf, ezak doombolt, who he bonded with out of shared love for artillery. Second is Karghan the crazed and his aspiring champions, who remind him about how things used to be. Finally there are his soul grinders, grim mementos of his betrayal.

he should be norvegicuts the lucky that was a couple of good battles for papa nurgle's forces
