It is actually a good EV for road trips due to its fast charging capabilities. The standard heat pump and battery preconditioning feature really help with winter efficiency and fast charging.

Funny how in the US the equivalent trim (SEL) for 2024 has the fabric seats without the rear center arm rest, rear adjustable head restraints, and rear vents - quite an annoying packaging decision. Thanks for the video.

No rear window wiper is a deal breaker for me. It is a safety issue and very annoying. Don’t even have it as an option yet it is on the 2024 Ioniq 5 N . It is coming for 2025 refresh but really? Design authentic over functionality and safety is incomprehensible. Also the replacement of the sliding arm rest to prevented the potential of objects from rolling or sliding into the drivers feet is another forced safety error in my opinion. Otherwise it is a really nice EV at this stage of EV evolution and development.

@@Pierceb2odd deal breaker. Honestly haven’t thought for a second “sheesh I could really use that rear wiper.”

@@jeffcressotti Thanks, la lot to like with Ioniq 5 but had Kona Ultimate which was nice but no OTA Updates, Software is old school, had to download and install my own Navigation Updates ( pain) . Few calls to Bluelink and Customer Service people that don’t drive EV’s and couldn’t find answers to my basic questions manual didn’t answer. Dealership was overwhelmed, understaffed and refused to do map updates even when car was in for battery recall for 3 days when told it would be 3 hours tops. Test drove Ioniq 5 LE again yesterday and Tesla Model Y AWD LR today. Now own the Model Y! and it was 11K less before rebates, tax credits, discounts. Hyundai is in a jam and must drop MSRP, battery prices have come down significantly but their prices have not build in US and improve software, dealerships, customer service training and knowledge. They could be great but can’t deliver on experience end to end in my experience. Still promoting 2 free years of Electrify America Charging but not much help to me in Northern New England vacation areas and many broken chargers in MA?

10:00 Don't completely agree with this point considering most performance ICE cars can easily do 0-60 under 4 seconds these days and many can even do that under 3 secs which is much quicker than any base EV offerings from most manufacturers that take their sweet time doing 0-60

Is there any information on the life span of the Ionic 5, compared to a regular gas car?
@technicallycars8 ай бұрын
It’s pretty unknown right now since EV are pretty new. From what I can see it’s looking like 10 years or 100k Kms
@mauriciocastro63638 ай бұрын
@@technicallycars 100k kms? That's 62k miles? In that case it does not make any sense to buy a car like this.

@@mauriciocastro6363 That is the warranty, does an ICE vehicle die when the warranty runs out. My EV is 7 years old now and still get more range then the specs. say.
