In this video, I stop by a beautiful small mountain lake in Alaska, and do some fly fishing for dry flies for some gorgeous Dolly Varden, which are a char (like Brook Trout) and closely related to trout. During the video, I catch a bunch of fish, and discuss some tips and tricks that I have learned to help catch fish with dry flies.

Yo brother! This was actually from our 2nd day in Alaska... It was the only close fishing that was open at the time (the rivers were closed to salmon and trout), so I just had to get out and wet the line!! 🤙🤙✌️🎣

There was a book written in 1972 called "Fishing the Dry Fly as a Living Insect" by Leonard Wright. Giving your dry fly some motion can definitely by super effective. Whether it be stripping as you were here, or something as simple as a twitch. Another great video Kevin! Good job adapting to the situation and finding out what the fish were looking for. Solid stuff.
