That was so much fun and the commentary was priceless, always test a new colour paint on the crotch.. I'm in stitches here. The idea of building the corpse then retrieving the skeleton for further use is a money saving game changer.

Great results even if you thought you could do better with the afterthoughts, it is very effective. At first I thought you were sacrificing a skeleton for this. Great job having both. Symmetry isn't so important on a rotting corpse. They get droopy or out of symmetry. Good work.

I did something similar to one of these skeletons. I used black pallet wrap plastic. I stained my skeleton with wood stain first, just to give it that rotted copse look. Me being me, I had to animated it with pneumatics and stick it in a wooden box. Like you, I bought the pallet wrap for another project. I used it to wrap a bunch of those 275 gallon IBCs for rain water. It was cheaper than painting them. It keeps the light out. That same wire I use in the spray foam arms like you made for those trees, way back when you had your neck surgery. I really like this technique too. Those air sacks they use in shipping would work to fill some space.

The spray paint doesn’t eat the foam?

not at all, very few foams react to spray paint- spray foams are all safe.

What fabric were you using the heat gun on to make it practically melt and disintegrate like that?

Imagine my heartbreak when I discovered, in the midst of creating a hairy corpse, that I am allergic to wool. Any recommendations for wool alternatives? (Sure, I can do cotton but that’s so very boring.)

Hi Mr./Mrs. Beast, I am making a One-eyed Willy Pirate. I have finished everything except sculpting the cycloptic skull abnormality under the eye patch. I bought a $30.00 Walmart skeleton, removed the initial black paint with acetone, and sanded it lightly with 000 steel wool. I bought some of the suggested spray Loctite foam for doors and windows, some white cement, hot glue and the heat gun you suggested I buy from Harbor Freight. This prop needs to go outside and it rains here a lot. Can you give me some advice please? I also have to corpse the fingers/hands. The fingers are round with fingernail detail on the tips and very dark.
