The fact that Sting and Jericho are still wrestling in mid 2023 is something I don't think anyone could have imagined back in the 90's watching them on Nitro lol.

A better way to put that is anyone watching now I don't think understand what its like to get old. When you turn 25 you are prime. 30, maybe pro athletes are prime but normies start to feel the dropoff a bit. 35-40, normies definitely feel the dropoff. I'm sure pro athletes are stronger than ever but they probably feel the reduced mobility. 50 I cannot imagine even pro athletes feel they are declining in every metric. 60 you are literally an old. You get a fucking discount at perkins because you are so old they feel they should honor the fact you've lived this long. And sting is jumping off ladders and shit.

@@Fishing-gs9kuwell I remember Terry Funk wrestling in ECW When it was still Eastern Championship Wrestling before Shane Douglas threw away the NWA title. I love Terry Funk. I've been watching him since the I Quit match against Flair after they did the first table spot I had ever seen on TV where Funk piledrived Flair after he had just finished a very long match and Funk was doing commentary. Matter of fact I've seen every ECW match Funk had and absolutely loved him but there's no comparison to him and Sting because Sting is almost 10 years older than when Funk started working for ECW. Funk wasn't moving around that well and the hardcore environment, blood, and Funks willingness to do the moonsault made him accessible to the modern fan at that time. Sting is doing highly athletic things that no other legend has been capable of pulling off at his age. When people say he has redefined what it means to be a legend I think that mostly means that if you didn't know Sting was 64 you wouldn't believe it. He's still The same performer he was 20 years ago athletically and they have protected him with Darby doing a lot of the hard lifting. A lot of the legends by this point are barely able to do anything other than brawl. Sting is still capable of wrestling a wrestling match and he's able to keep up with guys that are much younger. Nobody looks at Sting and thinks that this old guy needs to quit. Instead we are all just enjoying this last run while we can. I'll be honest that it was hard for me to watch Terry Funk wrestle those last few years because I grew up watching him and his brother being badass wrestlers. I give him all the credit in the world for figuring out how to extend his career. Don't compare apples with oranges. Sting and Funk are both legends who deserve respect, but with all respect to Terry Funk he wasn't in ECW going off ladders and moonsaulting in his mid-60s.

So as a life long sting fan, in what way does he embody “the crow” aside from face paint? Please direct me to a scene in the movie where Lee beats his chest and goes “woooo it’s show time”
@marcushamner5994
@marcushamner5994 11 ай бұрын
@@Solid_Jackson That’s Sting’s catchphrase since the 1990s. The Crow came out in 1994 which was Brandon Lee’s final film before he died. As far as why Sting wears the black and white face paint, it’s an homage to The Crow. Behind the scenes, it was Scott Hall’s idea of Steve Borden (Sting) to use the Crow character to fit what was happening to WCW at the time. In the story arc, Scott and the NWO took over WCW and Sting was the last line of defense because he was the face of WCW at the time. Sting was accused of betraying his friends, but they didn’t know that a fake Sting framed him. The fake Sting joined the NWO. So the real Sting decided to go into seclusion. That’s where he adapted what fans call “Crow Sting”. He was a slient avenger that took out the NWO. He was silent for one year until he decided to talk again during his feud with Hollywood Hulk Hogan. But there is no scene from The Crow movie where he beats his chest and say “it’s showtime, folks.”😆😆🤣

Sting isn't doing what Dynamite kid or Rey Mysterio do either. Sting is doing a safer style similar to that of a Bret Hart or Ric Flair. The tablespot here is the only thing that would hurt are taking anything out of you. Everything else would be easy at any age. They just make it look difficult. They make themselves look like they're tired or out of breath. It's called selling.
