2 жыл бұрынI never ate stingray in New Zealand until this day! How would it taste? I generally let them go but this guy was well and truly hooked and already had my spear in him so I gave him the knife and cooked him up for dinner.

Don’t hesitate to put the smallest things on camera mate many of us look up too you and learn from you, unlike most audiences I don’t think we’re too picky about your videos mate as long as you’re in them giving us your guidance and knowledge. it’s helps to pluck your line if you know it’s a stingray on the end, something about the vibrations gets it up and moving allowing you to reel it in easier. Learnt from Matt @the ITM fishing show

Great video there Clay. That Sting Ray battle was something else. Not only did you nearly stand on one you ended up catching one. Nasty looking things, interesting to hear that they are pretty good eating. Different flesh to what you see of Fish and shark. Hope all is well with you in this crazy crazy world

Ray on the 'bone' in beer batter with hand cooked chips.... when you finish picking the meat off the cartilage you can munch on the cartilage.

Gidday mate she's a different looking filet isn't it but I can imagine it's delicious. I remember catching stingrays as a kid it always felt like they just sat on the bottom.. always enjoy a good catch and cook show bro..

Hey bro for your trace use a big 3 way swivel for your dropper to the hook and have the hook not so long where it could tangle in the break away sinker lumo need on the hook and your away

@@ClayTallStories use bait cotton or rubber bands helps keep them on and potentially last a couple of hits the distance of the hook to 3 way swivel would be around 2ft three ft to the sinker say

It looked like your bait in the crab trap wasn't tied in the center, the crabs can potentially not enter the trap if they can reach the bait through the side.

It's so interesting to see the similarities and differences different cultures have preparing fish.. I never would of imagined folks eat stingrays as I live in Canada, and there definatley are not stingrays close by haha
