I saw the fight, DC tried three eye pokes all of witch Mark Godard called him out on, even after the ref took a point on the forth and successful eye poke attempt which Mark deducted a point for, DC tried yet another poke causing Godard to clearly yell at him in frustration. I don't want to blame the eye pokes for Stipe's loss but it does cast a shadowy cloud over the result of the fight.

Chaels analysis of fights and MMA related situations is unmatched. I'd rather listen to the Gangster from West Linn than anyone else. Rogan, Aerial, Bisping, Florian and Brendan Shaun for damn sure. Chael knows the fight game from techniques, to the business side and all other aspects of MMA and he's constantly inserting his style of humor into the mix. It's both informative and fun to listen to. Bas Ruten is my second favorite.

Because he has the most HW defenses in ufc history, because 4 eye pokes in less than 60 seconds and he handled that loss like a champ. My reverse ask is who else but Stipe? Sure not Lesnar, Lewis didn't deserve it either. DC just wants one more big payday and he will relinquish the belt. Like I said if you care about the division, the sport, or the HW title in general you should be happy it's Stipe.

The fact is stipe got his ass dropped by a smaller man in a smaller division. I wasn't impressed by the Lay fest with the Francis fight. He fought an inexperienced overweight Francis and still struggled and still look like he was in a car accident afterwards. This is a weird one (although I’m excited). If DC looses, not that it think he will, then what hype is there for a 3rd Jones fight? Only guy to beat him and twice at that at light heavyweight. If he looses to Stipe at heavyweight, then what would make you think he can drop 50lbs and beat the undefeated Jones who he’s lost to twice? I love that he’s taking this fight though. For the fans. DC is a role model for the sport
