I love Cambodian foods! It’s one of my favorite foods in the world. Ginger chicken is yummy, but I prefer it less spicy or non spicy. Chillies are not necessary in all or many dishes. My Cambodian friend made that and invited me over for dinner last week. I loved the ginger chicken very much. Better than I expected. I wish there were more decent Cambodian restaurants, especially out in California. The ones here are not very decent and in not so good neighborhoods either, so it’s difficult to dine there. There is a nice one in Manhattan New York called, Bayon. We need more of that here and also some decent and less pricey ones as well. Moderately priced is ok too. Decent doesn’t have to be upscale or expensive. I also wish they had the Cambodian papaya salad beef stick sandwiches, Cambodian snacks, and Cambodian desserts, like the banana fritters, wafers (tong newn), corn tapioca, nom krook, and others, at a nice Cambodian drive thru restaurant where you could just pick them up and go. That would be cool. May I make some suggestions? How about sauté noodles in the Cambodian lemongrass Cha Kreung. Also try frying rice in that Cambodian lemongrass paste. Another one is frying seasoned rice with the Cambodian sausages, twa go. These are just my creative thoughts coming through, but I think those would be global sensations. Cambodian Foods are so good but so underrated. They need to be marketed more with better marketing strategies or something. With their own unique yummy flavors, it can really be appealing to the world.
