See how you can achieve different effects with the same fluid acrylic paints in this comparison video. Everything is identical only as you give the silicone oil affects your image result very much.
In this comparison video, we look at the different cell effects that arise when we stir the silicone oil in the individual acrylic colors or just give it.
In addition I touched four colors and divided them on the two canvases, on the right side in each case three drops of silicone oil are mixed into the colors.
In the picture on the left side, three drops of silicone oil are applied to each color layer.
The fully filled cups are then placed upside down on the canvases in the Flip Cup technique. After distributing the colors by swiveling the canvas everything looks very similar. There are beautiful color gradients. But we already see the first cells.
To accelerate cell production, I heat the acrylic paint with the heat gun.
Initially, small cells develop, which develop completely after a few hours.
I hope you like the comparison, I hope you enjoy recreating and designing your own artwork.
Creative greetings
Tiktus

There's more cells when you stir the silicone in the paint, but, there's a prettier "pattern" when you *don't* stir it in. Both are pretty, but, I think I like the "less - celled," non-stirred one, the best.

I think it depends on what you are going for though. If you want a more uniform painting then don't stir, but if you are going for a more "explosive" look then I would stir.

Honestly, I would've probably even liked the paintings more with no cells at all. They looked so pretty next to each other. xD

I’d like to see you do one where you stirred the oil into only on color and left the rest unstirred. That could be an interesting pattern.

Stirring it in I was told will give you much smaller cells , while not stirring gives larger more unusual shaped cells. This proves that lesson perfectly. I like both and they go together side by side beautifully.

Wow, what an interesting experiment! Dramatic difference in the 2 techniques. Love them both. Guess it depends on what you’re after as to whether you decide to mix or not. Thanks for sharing! I’ve done only 2 acrylic fluid pours. On one I dribbled the silicone every which way all over the paint after I poured it. What a cool effect I got. It created a bumpy textured look, as if it were done with oil paints. Had to wipe off the excess silicone once the paint dried, but that’s no big deal. Left a wonderful shine to the cured surface.

i see a lot of people bringing up Trypophobia, but i guess i don't have it ... as bad... as cells don't bother me one bit.. even when someone connects the word to the image.... must just be one of those things you can have from mild to strong any who, i love when fluid artists do experiments, as i have to wait to be able to get paints for the canvas i have, i cant just play around, so its helpful to see others try all this stuff out. By the time i can afford a few paints, i will prob have enough knowledge to dive right in :D I love all your work
