Hope you enjoy this video of all my favourite things to see & do in Stirling. It's a really wonderful small city, with so much to see & do, and very easy to get to from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Here's all the places I recommend visiting, (shown in the video):

I also thoroughly recommend visiting Argyll's Lodging - a 17 Century town house close to the castle, on Castle Wynd, which used to be the residence of the Earls of Argyll. It's closed for maintenance just now until further notice. For re-opening please visit www.historicenvironment.scot/...

I lived in Stirling before I moved to the US nearly 12 years ago, and worked in the city for more than 20 years. It was great to see so many places I recognize and miss.

We just spent 3 nights in this wonderful city. We were going to stay in Edinburgh, but decided on Stirling. Great choice on our part. We took a one day trip to Edinburgh, and couldn't get back to Stirling fast enough. The people are friendly , spaces aren't crowded, it's easy to get around, just a great place.

What a great job on this video. The music was pleasant, motion was well stabilized, it was actually good that there was no narration, i experienced it like i was there. I enjoyed when you stopped at signs. I would someday loved to visit it; but watching this video went a long ways to vicariously tour the castle. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Kamin, that's really kind of you and much appreciated. It's a wonderful city to visit and you'll thoroughly enjoy it. The castle is fascinating and the actors really help to bring it alive. I'm afraid the weather is always unpredictable here in Scotland. The summer has been very wet and cold this year and very unseasonable, but hopefully it'll get better soon :-) Just bring good, comfortable shoes and a rain jacket & hat and you'll be fine in the spring/summer and a few thermals in winter. The country and its cities really do look good in any weather - the light is amazing for photographers and it adds a lot of visual appeal. Have a great time when you visit. David, that was quite a video. I watched it ALL and enjoyed every minute of it, pausing frequently to read some of the historical info. I'm a drone pilot as part of my job. This morning a member of the DJI drone forum we all belong to and review daily, posted a nice video of aerial drone shots of Stirling. Having never been to Scotland, it piqued by interest so I looked up other videos on Stirling and I found yours. Now, I'm hooked. I've got to visit Stirling! I'd like to plan a trip for my wife and I where we start in Edinburgh, then take the train to Stirling, then to Glasgow and finally Inverness. Thank you for such a fine video. Great job.

This is a wonderful video, and I'd no idea there was so much to see, it's realy magnificent, I will make a point now to visit the castle, realy beautifully filmed and I realy enjoyed your choice of music
