Stitch Artist: Turn a TTF Letter into an Applique

Turning TrueType letters into appliques is about as instant as you can get with digitizing and it can be done in any level of Embrilliance Stitch Artist.
This video is in answer to the question posted under the Hatch video on the same topic. Got a question? I "might" make a video answer!

Thank you for this video, although I work in Hatch2, it is always good to see how other software behaves. You made it look so simple that I am tempted to have a look at Embrilliance.

Yeah - sometimes you can beat your head against the wall trying all sorts of crazy things when if you know the two clicks to do, it's practically instant!

Hello I know there is no color sorting in stitch artist level 1 but is there a way to have all the letters do the base stitch first so I can add the fabric at 1 time?

Probably but I don't know how. I've been using Hatch since 2017.

Hi! My question is if I purchase a BX font, upload it in Stitch Artist 1, am I able to turn that into an applique?

Not sure what tools are in SA1; I'm not currently using Embrilliance. Try it with one of your current fonts. If it works, then it should work with a BX font.

Can a cut file be generated with level 1? Also, is level 1 a stand alone product or must you have another program as a base?

Check with Embrilliance to be sure but I think the cut file can be created with either Essentials or Enthusiast.

There is no "conversion." To make a BX file from a TTF, you need to have Stitch Artist 3, digitize the letters, and publish the font.

Stitch Artist are the digitizing modules for Embrilliance.

Looping can be caused by the needle, thread, or machine tensions.

I still have Embrilliance but rarely use it anymore unless I'm making a BX font. Other than that, I use Hatch or ES. I also have DIME's PEP but it's buggy and I couldn't even make a basic applique properly. I just got a notification that bugs I reported in 4 months ago will be fixed in the next update. We'll see…
