@ACLPatternsandMore
@ACLPatternsandMore 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Although I misspoke in this video regarding the odd count. Technically this video shows you the odd count version. When you work with the single seam (the one shown in this video) two of the columns join to form one. In this case it was the two yellow columns that became one. If you noticed I mentioned that I began with ten beads, but when I joined the two yellow columns they become one and I was left working with nine beads. Making it odd-count peyote. When we need/want to work with an even number of beads we work with the double seam version of Peyote With a Twist. Here is the link to the video where I teach how to do it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zrp-d5CDl7SZkmw.html

Yes, bead crochet can be difficult for some people. I personally don't like the loading of all the beads before beginning the actual stitch. Peyote With a Twist solves this and many other issues beaders have when it comes to bead crochet ropes.

But when you mentioned that we need to add one row when you reached the desired number to make it odd count, like 10 we need to add 1 row, and so in but when you reeched row 14, you mentioned 16, maybe you meant 15? Great tutorial, thank you. As a new beader, two explanations would have really helped me. A) what to do if you were using an odd number of beads and B) starting at around 6:00 in the video, you explain that you need to work one more row than the circumference beads loaded e.g. 10 plus one = 11 and 12 plus one = 13 but then you say that for 14 you will need 16 I.e. 14 plus 2 and do not explain this. Rather than skipping over these aspects, if you didn’t want to explain right now, it would still have helped if you had marked these differences and advised that further learning was needed later.

Although Delicts will work it will make your rope very stiff. I would think that starting with at least 14 beads would work. The thicker the rope the more flexibility it will have.

Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial. Can you please clarify this one thing for me though? It is about the closing. When you close the tube you will have one less bead to add on than the previous row? Say there are 6 beads to peyote on, so once you get ready to close it the next row will have 5, then the row after that will have 4 beads and so on until the tube is closed and you cant add any more beads?
