I bought Herbie Hancock's CD just to hear John Mayer's song "Stitched Up". I love that song.

So i was looking around for some jazz and I find mayer in there ...... hahaha he is every where

Who cares about their private lives? it's none of our business, anyway. I just don't go there. But Mayer has one of the most appealing voices in pop, is a versatile guitarist, and wrote some of the cleverest tunes I've heard in the last 15 years. Herbie Hancock is a deserved jazz legend who easily moves into pop, and adds a little class in the process.

How come I can't find this song on ANY platform except Pandora or KZfaq? The weirdest thing. So damn catchy.

An incredible album featuring the very best artists of our time. Jon Meyer's 'Stitched Up' written by Herbie Hancock is one of my favorites. But 'Sister Moon' featuring Sting', Christina Aguilera, Paul Simon and Annie Lenox really puts a move on my heart too. Thank you Herbie Hancock for your contributions to the jazz genre, etc.

Amazing... Years ago, when I was little and knew nothing about jazz, I got this CD by my aunt and I really disliked it. And now I went through my CD shelf and was like: "How on earth do I have a Herbie Hancock album"? Absolutely great!

Complimenting the song or not, do your research before you judge someone. Everyone has their own demons and his was some douchy interviews and a big ego but listen to his two recent albums and those interviews and then judge..Also such a sweet song :p

This song is what turned me onto John Mayer. I grew up in the 90s-00s when he was getting popular. I hated his cheesy pop music. He sounded like a teenage chain smoker singing to all his girlfriends. “No Such Thing?” Weird and unmusical. “Your Body is a Wonderland?” Just YUCK. 🤢 Then he released this song with Herbie, and BAM! He finally found his niche. His breathy voice doesn’t fit with pop, but boy does it work with jazz! He was just trying to fit a square peg into a round hole for so long. But jazz is that square hole he needed. Then the following year he released his Continuum and bam. He’d finally found his niche with the bluesy “Gravity” and soulful “Waiting on the World to Change.” Mayer quickly changed from one of my least favorite pop singers to one of my favorite pop/soul fusion singers.
