Take a ride on the STO Rapibus transitway in Gatineau, Quebec between Station du Lac-Leamy and Station de la Gappe. The transitway crosses the Gatineau River via a single-lane bridge, the Pont Noir Bridge, which was built from a railroad bridge. During the morning rush hours, the majority of bus traffic is heading towards downtown, and during the evening rush hour, the majority of bus traffic is heading away from downtown. During the midday and evening hours, the buses are spread apart enough to allow both directions to the use the Rapibus, though buses can only pass through one direction at a time. Here in this clip, I am riding a 1979 GM "New Look" in passenger service on the #800 Rapibus route. The 800/810 serve the entire Rapibus corridor, while the other Rapibus routes (100, 200, and 400) serve from Labrosse to Montcalm. This 1979 New Look, #7901, is the last remaining GM operated by STO, and possibly the only known operable revenue-service New Look in all of Canada.
