I want to mention that Stock you get 12 500lb bombs that allow you to destroy a single base and earn you alot of RP to help you earn more Modifications.

@@teagenallerdice9040Maybe at low BR, but at high tier it's definitely 10-12x500lb Mk82's. As someone grinding the F-111A and F-16A right now trust me, I know.

@phoenixkitchen2452 No it really deosn't. You don't get the long rack until you get the Mk82, or the M117 modification researched.

Apparently you have radar aim for the gun, so you should definitely use the radar to lock targets and shoot.

It doesn't get ACM mode so getting a lock while dogfighting is incredibly unreliable

How does that work? Do I just pick someone out flying in, lock them on the standard radar mode, and I get an arcade lead indicator?

I've seen it on Tim's Variety videos. You lock and a lead indicator shows up. It's not as exact as the top tier ACM that everyone keeps mentioning, but it's a pretty good indicator of where to aim

Great bomber. Okish fighter. Good flaps. Fastest jet in the game at the moment. Radar ground and air gun sights. Drinks fuel like nothing else.

@@AZ-dj1ni CCIP for ground targets. When you activate it and get close enough you get a crosshair indicating where your rounds will land.

the VARK is very fun in simulator battles, if you play one of the large maps (canyon, afghanistan, vietnam) you can just cruise around bombing bases, and hopefully avoid getting shot down

@@Zyoher not quite, but you can switch the sight mode to "bombs" and it acts as CCIP, but it has to be within your gun sight so you sorta have to dive bomb

Stock can carry 12 MK82 500lb bomb + 2 aim-9B + 1 20mm vulcan

This is my current grind loadout and it's working out pretty well. It still allows for the wings to sweep back and will get you a base + some bots as long as you don't die in the initial merge.

One of the best way to use the aim9b is to shot dont those annoyingly op frontaspect missiles, aim9bs for me on my bombing runs are a defensive tools, no joke.

Have you tried putting bombs only on outer pilons? It make sense that wing sweep doesn't work when you still have bombs on the inner side (since they are the closest to the hull).

I have it and if you put bombs on the outer pylons you can’t sweep at all and if you put it on the inner ones you can sweep about 80%

Phibous19, Su 25k pack, ive seen so many youtubers play this plane and have never seen anyone complain much about it, seems like one of the really worthy premiums in Wt considering its br and amazing firepower capabilities, love to see it in action

Few things. This thing is incredibly fast while clean, hell even with a light load it’s still nearly uncatchable. It is a terrible fighter, the best case is lobbing a few missiles at people on the way back to lane. Optimal load is either 7x750 with a gun for 1 base, or 14x750 for two bases. The 3000lb are not even worth using due to their poor base reward.

@@Zyoher they give less than half the rewards. bombing a base with 2x3000lb nets you 1250rp. bombing a base with 7x750 gives you 2560rp.

it is realistic, the bomb target is something a lot of modern jets have called CCIP (continously-computed impact point) and it just tells you where the bombs will hit, like in arcade.

Why don't u just use the electronic gun site? Its the lowest BR plane that has it! Not sure if I want to replace the A-10 or even the F-105 with this as CAS, do to it only has bumb-bombs (and few of the worst AGMs on 10.3!), so its a pure air RB plane for me. + on 10.3 (and above) i can just pick a decent helicopter.

What I've seen going against a couple (cause not spending the GE to use the millions of free xp I have to just unlock it) - it seriously needs some better Sidewinders, which would be historically appropriate based on when it entered service, cause in Air AB where I tend to play, it's only slightly worse target practice than the 105 cause it has flares (and at least this one has the automated deploy system without cheats).

USAF F-111's never carried AIM 9's..... the internal Vulcan was only used on the first missions of Combat Lancer in 1968 and wasn't used after that

Speed is the only reliable defensive tool it has. The missiles are horrible, the bomb load is decent if you bring enough to still allow the wings to sweep. It has to drop below mach 1 to drop its bombs which enables anything to kill it as it takes forever to regain speed. And if it brings a full bomb load it gets killed instantly. Its not too fast. 9es are still going to be garbage and even with Js it likely wont fair a whole lot better.

@@AZ-dj1niwith the schear amount of payload you can carry if you're smart and stay fast you grind better than any other non prem jet in the US tech tree.

@@AZ-dj1nithis thing can take 5 bases on single flight, that will give you easily more than 20k research points with premium In one battle i bombed 7 bases with only two take offs and get 26k RPs. I spaded this plane only after like 20 battles. It is second best american plane on rank 6 only after A-10A Late.
