Good video. I appreciated the explanation of CFM to HP and SP to Torque. That makes sense. I would have liked to have seen the same static pressure test at each CFM test...see how that dropped in relation to the CFM for each type of motor.

Almost perfect, seeing the 1/2 motor performance on Record Power would have been the cherry on top. I was already sold on the RP when my current shopvac fails but now there is the 3 motor version to consider.

Can one assume that the single motor version would produce about 1/3 rd of the 3 mottor version? Many thanks.

Last week I purchased the 55L CamVac. It's a well made dust extractor --- and I love everything that's made in England. However, I have some questions (and I don't know how to ask them.) it's got to do with the air flow. So, the new CamVac 55L I got, will be working mainly for dust (fine sandpaper dust) off my lathe. I find it important to note, that the dust direction will be towards the 4-5 o'clock and sometimes around 2 o'clock. The dust "hood" I am using has a conical shape, which measures about 11" in diameter and hooks to the 4" hose. When the direction of the dust is at the 4 o'clock, the CamVac is able to capture most (if not all) dust, however, when the direction of the dust changes to 2 o'clock, then CamVac does nothing (or does very little.) I wonder, if I create a "ring" opening, instead of the conical opening, will I see a an improved dust extraction with the CamVac, or will I exhaust the CamVac?

I would like to see the results of the 55L 2.7 hp CanVac added into the comparison with the 90L 4hp CanVac & the Rikon Dust collector.

Hold up, how is the dust collector better at 4" hose? Your result showed that with the ductwork, the dust extractor has higher CFM. Wouldn't that mean at least for Camvac it has all the dust collectors beat? Even with a 1000 cmf dust collector after all that ductwork you would get around 500 cfm at the end anyway.

so I just have to ask then what's the point of a dust collector then? Camvac has them beat in all conditions and there are priced similarly. I always thought dust collectors are high CFM and low pressure and dust extractors are low CFM and high pressure, but here it seems camvac got high CFM and high prssure.

The tests aren't sufficiently accurate because the adapter used on the Mikron was too large.
