I visited Stockton in 1992 and again in 2002. These shots are from both those visits, with a few other locations thrown in. Stockton Tower was closed in January, 1999 and razed in May of the same year.

As usual...excellent archival footage of two great railroads that no longer exist. I grew up with SP in my home town, and miss it greatly.

Great video. Needs more comments. :-) First, 11:26. Someone was in a hurry that day! lol Hope it was worth it. Second, I like how most of the UP power at 10:31 looks like it belongs in the first part of the video. I just liked the 'triclops' don't ask me why. Finally, at 3:18 (and 6:09) those are open-top Maersk containers. Those were recently done in N scale by JTC, and this video means now I have to buy some. haha You caught that train with two cameras I notice. Tripod or buddy?

Neither tripod nor buddy. The train was doing a set off and I caught two different passes.

6:53 Amtrak California was repainting the MK railcars little by little at that time to its new look. Notice the yellow pinstripe on the cab car (newer "Surfliner" cab car) and coach in the middle slightly raised versus the other coaches, still bearing the old livery (railcar numbers only on left side, railcar names under orange triangles on right side). 9:02 Same difference is noted on the other train. 9:30 Also, the "Surfliner" coach on that other train.
