Keep in mind, honest outlaw always talks about the canik subcompact being an amazing handgun and reliable, his first 1,000 through it, it had 3 malfunctions.

funny my only failure on the tp9 elite sc was my very first shot fte, after that butter. Also there's another vid with a guy shooting high with the stoeger he sent it back and stoeger told him the sights were off

@@24grizzy Your failure in your Tp9 was likely caused because caniks recoil springs are too strong. They are designed for 9mm NATO using middle Eastern and European forces, where 9mm is loaded hotter than here in the US. A few years back they loosened the springs slightly. However they are still sprung too tight and often will still fail to eject. Your gun is running on the very edge of reliability at all times. This can be fixed with caniks low power recoil spring. They are not normally in stock but you may get lucky. The gun will recoil a little harder. But will run with much less of a chance of another FTE. I have the TP9 SF elite compact. Very nice gun. But I won't carry it without +p ammo for reliable function.

I recently picked this stoeger up and man is it nice. I'm not a fan of plain white dot sights so had an extra p365 front sight and with a little filling it fit right in if anyone wants to change the front sight. The stoeger sight came right out with a brass punch, I didn't even need to put it in a vise

SPN, I'm sending my MC in for repairs. I was the MC's biggest fanboy but at 1500 rounds it's been giving me problems Mostly failure to extract and eject. It hasn't happened a ton but enough that I'm afraid to carry it any longer. What really precipitated this is I decided to buy some new carry ammo. I went to the range to shoot up whatever 115gr Horaday XTP hollow points I had remaining and it jammed on the second bullet. It jammed so badly I had to remove the magazine and work on getting the old cartridge out. This really freaked me out because I've been trusting my life to that gun/ammo setup this whole time and to find out it wouldn't fire when I needed it was troubling to say the least. I'm going back to my Walther PPS M2 while the Stoegy is in for repairs. Not sure I'll trust it again unless Stoeger clearly finds a problem that needed fixing. If they send it back with a non-committal response for the problem, then I'll probably give up on that gun. I just emailed Stoeger to set up the return. I'll be curious to see how Stoeger is to deal with for warranty work. On an unrelated note, I have a APX first gen, if I send it to you, any interest in doing a video on it? I paid $300 for it new (but old, it's 2018) so it fits in with your 'affordable guns/working class' ethos. Let me know. Thanks.

my local farm store has STR-9 and STR-9MC mags. Their store an hour away has STR-9 and STR-9C magazines, and the Stoeger holster even.

Hey bro wanted to say I genuinely enjoy your videos so much. Just everything you do w your platform is phenomenal. With that said I was curious on how the reset is on this handgun. 4:34 seems like the slightest pause/flinch and it’s reminding me of when I was first getting used to my reflex. Bro I’m curious if you have heard of dove mounting solutions? It’s a dovetail system for red dots. So u cant mount the plate on your slide by using a the dovetail instead of the slide having to be cut. They are like 80 bucks but they have a fiber optic front sight that cowitnesses with the red dot. I love it, it’s awesome. But I thought might let u know since you are one of the few gun tubers that interact with your viewers. Looking forward to maybe a test from you.

I had to adjust the rear sight on my mc. It was noticeably off shooting high and left. The next time I went to the range I brought a screwdriver and corrected it. It’s something everyone might have to do with theirs.

What is the best way/stuff to clean and lube this pistol? My first handgun and want to make sure its taken well care of. What would you recommend? :)

I'd assume since its basically a Glock clone it would be similar to cleaning a glock. I like this video's method a lot since unlike a lot of people he uses gloves because lead is toxic, he uses nontoxic lubricant, and cleaners. @@motomogul4023Right on! I actually have 2. Both are inexpensive iwb kydex holsters that I picked up from Amazon. One is a Black Scorpion and the other is a Rounded Gear. Personally, I prefer the Rounded Gear. That being said, I added a claw and Ulticlip with the Rounded Gear upon purchase. 👍🏻💯

Don't expect great customer service from Stoeger. My MC came with a totally black front sight, which doesn't work especially well with a totally black rear sight. When I contacted them, their email said they would send me a basic sight when they get some in, though it may be a while. Hello, doesn't that need to be installed? I don't have the tools to do it. When I asked about that they said "If you’re not comfortable with replacing it, please reach out to a local Gunsmith..." So, I should go pay extra for a gunsmith to fix their mistake? They finally allowed that their service center could put it back on if I sent it in, but they're running ten weeks out, so... Really screams "We want you as our customer!", doesn't it.

I think that malfunction could have been a mag issue. especially after you slapped it and it went home. Thats the one weakness with this gun. the mag.

It was the same one from the 1,000 round hellcat Vs p365 video. There was nothing left. We shot 1200 rounds in that video and no one would be able to see where I was hitting
