I doubt if they would be able to slow down their second stage for landing or not as they are using hydrogen.

by starting the landing burn from much higher atmosphere, they might be able to slow that down.

But then they would have to carry more fuel. So payload tonnage would be low.

that is not how it works . People use math so if they are using hydrogen they will plant based around it they are not school kid they are rocket scientist

Pagal hai kya...its all depends on rocket and its fuel. Alag alag fuel ke pollution rate alag alag hota hai(hydrogen mai pollution nahi hota but). Or rocket kitna bada hai utna jyada pollution hoga..jayse truck jyada pollution create karta hai car ke mukable.
