I had the privilege to see STOMP perform live years ago. The high-action pieces have such an incredible energy to them that you do not fully get unless you see them in person. The screen does not even remotely do them justice. I highly, highly recommend going to see them!

This is the most wonderful, beautiful, staggering performance ever devised. I had the enormous privilege of seeint at the Ambassadors Theater two o three times year ago and it's magic to seei now in KZfaq

I had the enormous happiness of seeing STOMP at the Ambassadors Theater, in London, twice, some years ago. Ever since, I have made ample use of this marvelous video to show it in my university classes and to write about these fabulous performers in some local media. They are simply wonderful, outstanding and unbelievably out of this world. Thanks again for posting this magnificent production.

This brings back fond memories of the truly amazing and energizing STOMP performance I saw in Philadelphia, PA a number of years ago. At the time I was living near a Drexel frat house. One late afternoon the frat brothers there mimicked STOMP by using the pots hanging in their kitchen as percussion instruments. They were surprisingly good.

You ever heard someone say something along the lines of that old man on the front porch in overalls chewing on a piece of wheat could be a millionaire? How could a group of people who look like they haven’t showered of shaved in a month be this talented? Just goes to show you, never judge a book by its cover. Saw them in chorus in high school some when we took the day off from rehearsing, or day after the performance. Still love them.

who the hell are these people. also they must go through hell memorizing each and every thing to do
@HarmonicaMustang5 жыл бұрын
Don't think of every step or clap as separate things to remember. The human brain doesn't memorise random individual values, it loves patterns and sequences. Just like when you read a book, you don't read every letter separately, you read words and combine them to retrieve their meaning at sentence level. In the same way here, every action is memorised as a rhythmical sequence that is then recollected when triggered (start of a new performance piece, choreography sequence, emotional memory etc). I won't deny the fact that the complexity and synchronisation of their performance is extraordinary, but it's not as incomprehensible as one may think. Music is just another language.

and? How is that a useful or relevant comment? It's like me saying I googled the word "stomp" and then saw this result & clicked it, Nobody cares & it's not even interesting. Why do people constantly post these kind of totally pointless, inane "comments" about how they got to the video and/or who showed it to them? You're just adding more noise to an already obnoxiously noisy place.... I'm really not trying to be mean, I'm just really sick of these pointless, meaningless comments everywhere. Try adding something about the actual video, like an opinion or something. Videos like this deserve better.
