That Cape Bretoner who did the note Tom didn't want to hear again was my late brother Bill Lewis. He was a brilliant guitarist.

This was our favourite song by Tom at the Rivers Manitoba pub where he was a regular 1977/78. We were flight instructors at the base and went to enjoy Tom's music. Anyone else remember?

Thanks to KZfaq and the poster of this video. The guitar and bass players were with Tom when i seen him as a kid a few times in the 70's in Southwestern Ontario. Memories of my unles and cousins and parties and sleep overs with Stompin Tom playing on the * track players or records. This song and Ketchup song, Bud the Spud, Big Joe, Lukes Guitar, Around the Bay etc have all been heard with my daughters on my knee babysitting to now my grandkids weekly. They all; love to hear the songs, stomp a foot and clap the hands and sing along. You aren't a true Canadian if you don't love a little Stompin Tom tune now and again. The memories flow with the tunes. Time passes on, but the music lives forever!
