The game is played with a 8-way joystick and three buitton: one for shoot/club attack, one for pass/tackle and one for pushing the opponenet away.
In a 2 vs 2 match neither side has a goalie; armed with big clubs, the player(s) have to put a stone ball in the opposite cave.
They can tackle, hustle or hit the opponents. Players can also bonk their opponents until they get stunned making them slow to rise and slowing also their movements.Also scattered around on the field are special bonus items that increase the caveman's speed or power.
There are six villages to choose from: Fisher Kings, Islanders, Caverns, Wild Holes, Big Trees and Cold Bears.
You need to beat them all to become the champion and in short terms, get laid, after that the game loops endlessy, until you lose and stop inserting coins.
Up to 4 players can play simultaneously in local multiplayer.
