Delicious stone crab!! 🦀 With the season coming to a close it was time for us to make our last stone crab pull. We set our traps using our fish carcasses for bait and pulled them 10 days later. 🐟 Harvesting only the keeper claws we headed in boiled and cracked the claws! We then prepared a tasty lemon garlic drawn butter for dipping!

My wife and I are really enjoying your channel. We live in the foothills of the NC mountain. I’m almost 70, Carol will be 64 tomorrow. We both love to fish and bought a small 16’ bass boat in March. The video you did turning the boat around to get it to the dock just blew my mind! Before we found you, our favorite channel has been Cole and Jay, couple in Arkansas who do fishing, herping, catch and cook.. You and they are tied.

Awesome video. I wish you had discussed how you only take the larger claw. You need to leave a the crab with 1 claw so that it can protect itself while it regrows the harvested Claw.

We always used the heaviest knife handle to crack stone crab shells. That cracker gizmo u used is a game changer! You didn't mention adding salt to the water. Have you ever tried adding any seasonings to the cooking water? In Louisiana we get blue crabs and add all kinds of spices that are premixed and sold as "crab boil". To that we add whole heads of garlic, celery stalks, onions, lemons and depending on the cook we might add hot sausage, mushrooms, red potatoes and corn on the cob!!! We cook shrimp and crawfish in the same seasoning. Surely u two must have been to a "boil" before if you went to school here in La.

Hi I'm a new sub. Love your videos! I just wanted to comment and maybe suggest trying making your own clarified butter next time. Tastes way better with shell fish & crabs and is simply 1 extra step of skimming the solids off the top of the melted butter while in the pan. Try it you'll taste the difference. 😉🥰

Have you tried removing the claws by inserting a knife or the point of a crab claw itself into the white membrane at the lower joint. Works very well, does little if any harm to the crab and is in fact the natural way the crab can release the claw when threatened. Great video!

In Southeast Virginia where I live we would have to order Stone Crab Claws from Florida and that is really expensive. We can however get Jonah Crab Claws which are very similar and much more affordable. Yum on both accounts. You can also use a nut cracker to crack the claws.

You ladies need to stand with Amanda on the left side and Emily on the Right side, when facing the camera= This equal's ( A & E Gale Force) Fishing. If you like spicy foods I suggest cooking those Stone Crabs in some Cajun Spice then lemon-garlic Butter. Or if you like pasta. Make some white cream style marinara and add the crab to that with cheese of your choice on top and black pepper. Also Crab and scrambled eggs is really great for breakfast. Extra tasty start for your day.

crazy how states do crab differently. Here its illegal to take crab like like they do there. Dungeness and red rock crab, especially red rock sometimes are taken that way because of there really small bodys they only take off the clawS and toss the rest over. not just one claw either. Your stone crab look a lot like our red rock crab. there close to the taste of Dungeness crab but if you ladies want the best crab come to the pacific northwest and taste the real, sweet, awesome crab......(of course next to the humble and giant kings:^)
