Middle Falls is a sliding rock-type waterfall located within Stone Mountain State Park. It is roughly 20 feet high and can be accessed by a trail off the main Stone Mountain Loop Trail leading to both the Middle and Lower Falls. Exploring the falls is a great side adventure from some of Stone Mountain’s main attractions. If you enjoy hunting for waterfalls, then it is totally worth the effort. We have read that the falls have been used for sliding into the pool below, but we have not seen anyone swimming in that area the two times we went. We have also read that there is a trail that leads to the base of the falls, which we did not attempt because the trail was not apparent to us.
