By this time, SW already had that different, late stage “look” to him, his face/eyes, and how he moved. RIP showstopper Scott weiland 💜😔
@augustolugo93254 жыл бұрын
I think it is due to the prescription medication he was receiving, I don't really think heroine or cocaine produce this damage in the body, the "legal" stuff they give to people in the USA is the medication that had Scott transform to this slow talking no fucking expression character. My opinion jajaja
@TroyElwoodHagerman5 жыл бұрын
Dean DeLeo an awesome songwriter guitar extraordinaire very talented man inspired Scott Weiland to write all the great songs, harmonies by Robert DeLeo are so good, and you really get to hear his bass in this video, and of course the drummer Ketz is so groovy

This is possibly the best performance I've ever seen from these guys. Scott...he was a weird dude, but when he was on, he was great. The rhythm section of Robert and Eric are an absolute machine, and Dean....probably my favorite guitarist from this era. His chord choices, the inversions he uses, his solos, it's *all* about the song. And his tone is impeccable, always. It's funny....the Yngwie Malmsteens of the world get the adoration, while it's Dean's (and Joe Perry's, and Elliot Easton's and Keith Richards' and Mike Campbell's) songs the shredder fanboys hum to themselves during the day.

A lot of confusion here about possible use of live auto tuning in this gig. There is none. What we do have is delay on the vocals and possibly some doubling. These are merely effects and have nothing to do with pitch correction. The fact that scott ocassionally sings slightly out ot tune in this gig should be proof enough. Anyway imho he's a fucking monster on this particular night.

@AnalogOpher -- Totally agree! At this point in Scott's career, he had reached a wonderful vocal maturity that had given him a warm tone and relaxed vibrato that at times reminds one of Bowie at his mature peak.

18 minutes in, & i had to pause just to leave this comment.... here it goes. these cats are sooooooooo criminally underrated, it makes me sick. 6 masterpiece albums. kretz is a beast on the skins, the de leo bros are tighter than a 12 year old, & scott.... holy fuckin' scott, best frontman ever, better than jagger, mercury, plant, etc... apologies to liverpool, but stp could've taught those chaps a lesson or two. hands down, the best american rock group ever. and to think that they were written off back in 93 as pearl jam clones! what a joke. i love pj too, but stp were/are on another level. i know that the odds are a billion to one, but just in case kretz & the de leo bros ever read this, stop thinking about finding a new singer, just start a new band. the doors tried to replace jim, bad call. sabbath went with dio, cruel joke. dead kennedy's without jello is nothing more than new england politicians without a sweet dessert. long live the geological cathedral aviators.
