Eddie Vedder about Moses on a Snail: "It sounds to me like Robert Pollard uncharacteristically took ten years to make this one. He will tell you otherwise, but I don't believe him. It's too fucking good. If it were any other group this would be seen as their masterpiece. I think for Bob it's just another good day of weaving words into a kaleidoscope of one of a kind, thought-provoking perspectives"

I was at this show, and this song holds an awesome significance to me. Dec. 3, 1979 -11 people lost thier lives at this very venue while trying to get in to a Who concert. Blows my mind. I have seen about 150 shows, and would never think I could ever be in danger. That night in 1979 was different. When this song played-I know that is was special-for those who died especially. The crowd's reaction is evident. Thanks PJ-for the memorable night and tribute to those eleven lost.

cs br Riverfront Stadium was long gone by this point (2006) that was the actual site of the collapse back in 1979. This PJ show was at the us bank arena next door to the great American ballpark in downtown cincy. It's a great moment having Pollard out there

I agree with you @SpookyApparation ! I've seen GBV MANY times over the years. Saw them again at the Grog Shop just last month and the current lineup is VERY SOLID indeed. And with Doug Gillard in the fold they played "I am a tree" which is a personal fave even if it isn't really a GBV (read that as Bob since Bob = GBV more or less) song.
