re: You need a welder.
There are now several welders out there, many have mixed reviews, so you will have to do your homework. The most popular and safest are made by Sunstone welders in the USA. They make several models and here is a chart I've created that lists out their respective features and costs:

These are what you will weld and you’ll want to offer lots of fun options - including chains, jump rings, connectors, charms, birthstones, talismans and commemorative items to help make it super personal and fun. Many suppliers, like Stones And Findings, have created Starter Kits, which really help.
The only thing you will have to remember is that because it is permanent jewelry, where they’re not taking it off for months and years, it CANNOT be cheap metal.
