I think they were too busy looking at the Casemiro challenge (which was clean) because it looked like that was the contact which brought Gordon down and they missed that the initial contact shown from the reverse angle was actually Amrabat on Gordon's heel which first initiated contact.

Not only was that a penlaty you can see the damage Amrabat did. Gordon sock was damaged and the skins beneath was damaged and red bleeding. Sickening VAR did not check Amrabat foul on Gordon heel in the box.

Tripper has cost us points on at least four occasions, yes he can bring a positive change in direction during a game, but for me he stops the flow and spends to much time managing others without looking to his position, not just on this occasion.

Var was used. It observed that the player being fouled in the penalty area was not one of the cartel clubs. It was used just as successfully twice in one game recently when the same Cartel club played against Notts Forrest. 😂

If var stays it has to change. Each team manager should get two VAR calls per game where they can insist VAR looks at an incident and must provide a credible answer.

The ref was terrible, VAR was awful, but we played Dubravka instead of Pope, Krafth is worse than me, and unfortunately for Trippier, he isn’t back to full fitness and it showed. But Krafth is so bad.

What Newcastle have achieved this season is nothing short of miraculous given the adversity Howe has faced in terms of team selection. If his best players are not fit to play then he cannot risk playing them. You clearly play fifa and dont understand actual real life football. Am sorry but hes got to go, how can he start trippier in a game of this magnitude. The man has cost us 12-15 points this season and got us knocked out of the cup. If pope is even half fit how can you not start him dubravka is one of the worst keepers in the league. Trippier cost us the first goal and then ball watched costing us the corner for the second he shouldnt be wearing the shirt ever again. If anyone wants to pay 120 million for isak ill drive him there, you put toney with isaks chacnes he scores 30+ this season, same with solanke. Keep bruno sell isak.

If he starts next season badly he will be gone by Christmas I think. He was never going to be the manager to get consistent top 4, that’s a level above him. But we can thank him for what he’s done for us, which has been laying a foundation and culture to build on. Agree on Toney/Isak also.

True. The difference is VAR got involved with that and spent 5 minutes looking at it then awarded the goal. (Which could be the reason Arsenal don't win the league) VAR did not get involved here when it should have. Hence why VAR should be removed from the game and we go back to human error. I think they pick and choose what they want to VAR, so why bother having it.
